PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE (IOC) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014 DI GUGUS VII KECAMATAN SAWAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle (IOC). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle (IOC) dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di gugus VII Kecamatan Sawan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di Gugus VII Kecamatan Sawan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan simple random sampling dengan tehnik undian. Dari hasil undian diperoleh SD Negeri 3 Sinabun sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang dan SD Negeri 3 Suwug sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode tes dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar berupa pilihan ganda, yang berjumlah 30. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji–t) polled varians. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inside Outside Circle (IOC) dan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai rata-rata untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 19,44 sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 15,40. Selain itu, analisis data menggunakan uji-t diperoleh thitung = 14,49 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ttabel=2,007 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif Inside Outside Circle (IOC) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di gugus VII Kecamatan Sawan.

The research used type of cooperative learning model of Inside Outside Circle (IOC). The aimed of this research is to know the difference of science learning achievement between student groups that have been studied by cooperative learning model of Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type and student groups that have been studied conventional learning model of fifth grade student of year 2013/2014 in cluster VII of Sawan District. The kind of this research is quasi-experiment research. The population of this research is all of students of fifth grade in cluster VII of Sawan District of academic year 2013/2014. The sample was taken by simple random sampling with lottery technique. From lottery result obtained by Elementary School number 3 of Sinabun as a experiment class with 32 students and Elementary School number 3 of Suwug as a control class with 20 students. This Research data is obtained by using learning achievement test method and instrument which use is of multiple choices, by total student is 30 people. The data is analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistic (uji-t) polled varians. The result of the research indicates that there are the difference in science learning achievement between student groups that have studied using learning Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model and student groups that have studied using conventional learning model. Average score for the experiment class is 19,44 and for the control class is 15,40. Besides that, data analysis used uji-t that is obtained tvalue = 14,49 is bigger than ttable=2,007 at 5% of significant level. Thereby, cooperative learning model of Inside Outside Circle (IOC) have an effect on to cognitive science learning achievement of fifth grade of academic year 2013/2014 in cluster VII of Sawan District.
