PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SCRAMBLE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 2 PEKUTATAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Pekutatan yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Scramble lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Pekutatan sebanyak 140 siswa dan tersebar kedalam 5 kelas yang memiliki kemampuan akademik yang setara. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan sebanyak 2 kelas terpilih sebagai sampel yang terdiri atas 28 siswa. Satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian “Posttest Only Control Group Design”. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa diperoleh melalui tes uraian yang telah valid dan reliabel serta diuji dengan Uji-t untuk Sampel Independen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa thitung = 3,83 > ttabel = 1,67 sehingga H0 ditolak, artinya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Pekutatan yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Scramble lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Scramble berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa Kelas VII SMPN 2 Pekutatan.

This study was aimed to determine whether there was the mathematical problem solving ability of VII grade students in SMPN 2 Singaraja that was learned with Scramble model more than students that was learned with conventional learning model. The population of this study was all VII grade students in SMPN 2 Pekutatan which was amount to 140 students students and spread into 5 classes that have equal academic ability. The sample of this study was obtained by random sampling technique and as many as 2 classes were selected as a sample consisting of 28 students. One class as experiment class and one class as control class. This study was a quasi-experimental research that used "Posttest Only Control Group Design" as the research design. Students’ mathematics problem solving ability data were obtained through valid and reliable test essay which was tested with Independent-Samples T Test . Based on the analysis result, it is seen that tcount = 3.83 > tcritical values = 1.67 so that the H0 is rejected, meaning, there is mathematical problem solving ability of VII grade students in SMPN 2 Pekutatan that was learned with scramble model more than students that was learned with conventional learning model. So it can be concluded that the model of learning Scramble positively affect the ability of problem solving mathematics students Class VII SMPN 2 Pekutatan.
