Oral Language Skills of Elementary School Students to Support Multiliteracy Learning in the Digital Era

Students' oral language skills are very important in the digital era, and technology and communication have developed rapidly by presenting spoken language content that is popular with students. Multiliteracy learning refers to the multicontext aspect, which means learning uses various contexts or broad topics. In the multimedia aspect, multiliteracy learning uses various media. This research uses a case study design with the aim of exploring the oral language skills of elementary school students in the digital era to support multiliteracy learning. The data in the research was collected through several collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observations and interviews. The data of this study were analysed using a qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that students' oral language skills in this digital era are still limited to non-formal speaking skills. Talking content comes from shows that are watched, namely short dramas, advice, food review videos, other entertainment content. The type of text used in oral language learning is only printed text, which in their daily lives students often watch content on social media such as WhatsApp, Tiktok, snackvideo and YouTube. Students prefer short, interesting videos, with a few activities that involve thinking skills. Listening and speaking activities through these sources can be included in learning according to a multiliteracy context so that it is more meaningful for students.

Nggusu Waru-based Social Studies Electronic Book Model as the Innovation to Support Students’ Character Building

Advances in technology and information in the digital era, have an important role in the world of education. Including the use of media can support social studies learning in schools. Utilizing computers, laptops, gadgets, and the like as student learning media. Learning by utilizing technological media is needed in the era of the 21st century. On the contrary, technological sophistication negatively affects the character and morality of students. This study aims to design a social studies electronic book model based on local wisdom Nggusu Waru as student character building. The research design in this article uses Research and Development design at the development stage with a model developed by Borg & Gall. With several stages, namely research and information collection, this stage includes literature study activities, field observations, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to develop social science electronic book products, this research develops a social studies book based on local wisdom Nggusu Waru for student character building through Research and Development design. The results of the analysis in the discussion of the development of social studies e-books were declared suitable for use as learning media in schools based on the results of Focus Group Discussions with experts. Student responses also show a positive response to the existence of a social science e-book model based on local wisdom that can be useful in building student character.

Mentorship is a dynamic and transformative relationship where an experienced individual, known as the mentor, gives guidance, assistance, and expertise to a much less experienced individual, called the mentee, to assist them in broadening their view and professionally. This study explores the application of the intersubjective theory in maximizing mentorship relationships for extra-effective interactions. Intersubjectivity theory emphasizes the importance of understanding the subjective views and perspectives of each mentor and mentee to cultivate greater significant and powerful mentorship dynamics. By delving into the nuances of intersubjective communication and understanding, this research aims to offer insights and techniques that can be used to boost mentorship studies and results. Through an aggregate of theoretical evaluation and realistic implications, this study offers a new perspective on how intersubjective ideas can be leveraged to optimize mentorship interactions in diverse professional and academic settings. In conclusion, the integration of intersubjective concepts into mentorship practices can revolutionize the manner we method mentoring relationships, transferring the point of interest from hierarchical and directive models closer to greater collaborative and egalitarian frameworks. By embracing the standards of intersubjectivity, mentors can foster a lifestyle of shared knowledge and empowerment, wherein both mentors and mentees are valued as equal partners in the pursuit of private and professional development.

The Relationship of the Teachers’ Growth Mindset to the Students’Mutual Cooperation Character in Primary School

The teacher's mindset will influence learning strategies such as designing or implementing learning. Furthermore, the strategies created by teachers will influence student character development. This research is motivated by the absence of other research that discusses the relationship between elementary school teachers' growth mindset and the cooperation character of elementary school students. This research aims to describe the growth mindset profile of elementary school teachers and find the relationship between elementary school teachers' growth mindset and students' cooperation character. The research was an ex post facto correlational design involving 30 elementary school teachers as research subjects. Data was collected through non-test methods, using questionnaires and checklist sheets. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive and single predictor regression analysis techniques. The research results show that most teachers have a growth mindset with some fixed ideas. A correlation coefficient of 0.769 was also obtained, meaning there is a strong and unidirectional relationship between the growth mindset of elementary school teachers and the students' cooperative character. This research implies that more training can be held to shape the growth mindset of teachers so that they can take more of a role in improving students' cooperative character.

Learning Video Innovation Based on Pancasila Student Profiles: Exploration of the Values of Historical Places in Margarana

Learning media is a tool or infrastructure used in learning activities and is useful in helping the teaching and learning process and increasing students' motivation to learn. This research aims to develop video media for teaching values based on Pancasila student profiles at the Margarana historical site for elementary school students. The test subjects for this research were material/content experts, design experts, learning media experts, and 28 students. This research uses the ADDIE development model, questionnaire and test data collection methods, quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques, and t-test inferential statistical analysis. The research results found that the design was a learning video and obtained a score of 90.90% with very good qualifications. The results of the expert test and user test showed that the media content expert test results obtained a score of 93.18%, the results of the learning design expert test obtained a score of 90%, the learning media expert test results obtained a score of 91.66%, the individual test results obtained a score of 90.96%, and the small group test results obtained a score of 90.00%, so this learning video received very good qualifications. It is worthy of use. The product effectiveness results were obtained from the t-test statistical test, namely t-count = 6.953. For db = 27 and a significance level of 5%, the t-table figure = 1.703. So, t-count > t-table, H₀ is rejected, and H₁ is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference in science learning outcomes before and after video learning media. Thus, the learning video media in this research is effectively used in the science content of my area material.

Cultivating Honest Character in Social Context: The Basis for Realizing Academic Integrity

Technological advances have a big impact on every line of life, including education. Everyone in the world of education can easily access information from various sources on the internet, this causes a lot of academic fraud to occur, including acts of plagiarism. GONE Theory, discovered by Jack Bologne in 1993, explains a theory about the factors that underlie someone's fraudulent or deceptive behavior. GONE is an abbreviation of Greed (greed), Opportunity (opportunity), Need (need and Exposure). The aim of this research is to determine the dominant influence between the 4 cheating factors. This type of research uses ex post facto with the population being active students in the Province Bali in 2023 who are studying under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Research and Technology, namely from Ganesha Education University, Udayana University, Bali State Polytechnic, and the Indonesian Institute of Arts, based on data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, there are 58,588 students (BPS, 2023). table from Krejcie and Morgan, the number of samples for a population of 50,000-75,000 is 382 (taken from N = 50,000-75,000 in Morgan's table) with an accuracy level (d2) of 95% and a significance level (z2) of 5 %. The research results show that the disclosure variable has the greatest influence on academic cheating, namely 39%. Based on these results, honest character is the best solution to create academic integrity among students.

Innovative Videoscribe: Improving Science Learning Outcomes for Fourth Grade of Elementary School Students Through Character-Based Learning Media

The use of learning media is important in the learning process because it helps students understand the subject matter and stimulates students' attention and enthusiasm for learning. This research aims to describe the design and development of character education-based learning media in grade IV elementary school science subjects which have been tested for validity. This development research uses the ADDIE model, but is limited to the development stage due to limited time, situation and resources. The trial subjects included content experts, media experts, 2 design experts, 2 practitioners, and 18 grade IV students who participated in individual and small group trials. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a four scale instrument given to test subjects. Research data was analyzed using an average to determine the validity score of the media being developed. The results of the validity of learning media from the assessment of content experts, media experts, design experts and practitioners obtained very good qualifications. Individual and small group trials also demonstrated excellent qualifications. Based on this analysis, character education-based learning media in grade IV elementary school science subjects was declared valid and suitable for use in learning. This learning media is also a valuable resource and encourages teacher professionalism in teaching character values along with science material.

Project Based Learning: Enhancing Character and Creative Thinking Skills through Activity-Based Projects in Numeracy Literacy Courses

The numerous incidents of fights and bullying among students indicate current problems with character development. Additionally, advances in technology and science require individuals to master creative thinking skills. Therefore, this study aims to explore the impact of an activity-based PjBL model on the development of character and creative thinking skills. This research employs a quasi-experimental design known as the nonequivalent post-test only control group design. The population consists of all elementary education students enrolled in the Numeracy Literacy Development course, totaling 120 students. Tests and questionnaires are often used in research to collect data. The data collection methods employed in this study involve descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Inferential analysis was conducted using MANOVA. The research results indicate differences in character and creative thinking skills after students were taught using the Activity-Based PjBL Model. Based on the study, there are differences in character and creative thinking skills, as seen from the differences in mean values. The difference in character between students taught with the Activity-Based PjBL model and those who were not was 13.74, with the experimental group having a higher average character. Similarly, the difference in creative thinking skills between students taught with the Activity-Based PjBL model and those who were not was 11.44, with the experimental group showing a higher average creative thinking ability. Additionally, the analysis indicates that the variable influencing more is character rather than creative thinking skills. These findings provide a strong basis for recommending the activity-based PjBL model as a solution to improve students' character and creative thinking skills. This model not only focuses on the completion of concrete projects but also integrates activities that encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation.

Integrating Character Education and Social Studies in Elementary School: Prospective Professional Teachers’ Experiences

Character education in elementary school is an important aspect in forming morale and students' ethics at their stage of development. This study aims to explore the understanding and experiences of pre-service professional teachers in integrating character education with social studies instruction in elementary schools. Employing a mixed-method approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews with 124 student teachers enrolled in the teacher education program. The findings indicate that pre-service teachers possess a solid understanding of character education concepts and the importance of their integration into social studies instruction. The researcher implements various strategies such as thematic approaches, project-based learning, and group discussions to instill moral values. However, challenges include time constraints, lack of resources, and insufficient specialized training. The necessary support includes continuous training, access to adequate resources, and mentoring from experienced educators. The study concludes that although pre-service teachers have a strong theoretical understanding, a holistic approach involving training support, resources, and policies is required to enhance the effectiveness of character education integration in social studies instruction. Recommendations for future research include expanding the sample size and employing longitudinal methods for more in-depth and sustained observations.
