This study aims to analyze the effect of audio-visual media on the letter recognition skills of children aged 4 to 5 years in kindergarten. This research is included in the type of quantitative experimental research that uses Quasi Experimental Design with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of 30 kindergarten children. Because the population size was less than 100, complete sampling was used to guarantee the sample. Research data collection was carried out using the structural observation method. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques. Analysis of post-test data shows that there is a significant influence of audio-visual media on children's ability to recognize letters. This can be seen from the significant increase in their average performance, which increased from 27.73 before the intervention to 54.93 after the intervention. The results of the hypothesis test further support this observation, because the significance value of 0.002 is lower than the threshold set at 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a statistically significant average difference in students' letter recognition skills between the experimental group and the control group. The latest information in this research can have implications for the continued application of audio-visual media to improve the ability to recognize letters in kindergarten children.</p> 2024-06-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Ni Made Ayuni, Made Vina Arie Paramita https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JJPAUD/article/view/75500 Interactive PowerPoint-Based Educational Games: Media to Stimulate Group B Children's Language Skills 2024-06-28T22:42:17+00:00 Ni Putu Ayu Satyadewi ayusatyadewi2009@gmail.com Didith Pramunditya Ambara didithpramunditya.ambara@undiksha.ac.id I Wayan Wiarta iwayan.wiarta@undiksha.ac.id <p>Children have difficulty developing language because the learning process is still centered on the teacher and the child's lack of concentration. This research aims to develop educational game media using interactive PowerPoint on the insect sub-theme. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this research were each a design expert, content/materials expert, instructional design expert, and media expert. The results of expert tests sequentially obtained results, namely product design scored 90.90% with very good qualifications, media content 96.67% with very good qualifications, instructional design 93.75% with very good qualifications, and learning media 95% with very good qualifications. Product trials on subjects included individual testing which obtained a score of 95% with very good qualifications and small group testing obtained a score of 94.17% with very good qualifications. The results of the effectiveness test show that t-count &gt; t-table (8.878 &gt; 1.761), so there is a significant influence. This means that it is known that the new interactive PowerPoint-based educational game media is suitable and effective for PAUD children, and is able to stimulate children's language skills. The implications of this research include increasing attractiveness and interactivity in learning, thereby providing a more interesting learning experience.</p> 2024-06-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Ni Putu Ayu Satyadewi, Didith Pramunditya Ambara, I Wayan Wiarta https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JJPAUD/article/view/75827 The Relationship between Adversity Quotient and Early Childhood Cognition 2024-06-28T22:42:12+00:00 Ratno Abidin ratnoabidin@um-surabaya.ac.id Asy’ari ratnoabidin@um-surabaya.ac.id <p>Learning activities that are less enjoyable have an impact on children's low intelligence. Even though an adversity quotient is very necessary for young children to be able to help them overcome the difficulties they are facing. So far, no research has been found that discusses the relationship between the adversity quotient and the cognitive learning outcomes of early childhood. Based on this, this research aims to analyze the relationship between the adversity quotient and the cognitive learning outcomes of early childhood. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlation approach. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method with a sample size of 38 children. The methods and instruments used to collect data are questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical analysis techniques with the help of SPSS software. The results of the research show that there is a correlation between the adversity quotient as an independent variable and student learning achievement as a dependent variable, although it is not strong. Adversity quotient contributes to the cognitive learning abilities of early childhood. Based on calculations of regression (correlation) analysis between groups of variables, it was found that the adversity quotient had a relationship with the cognitive learning outcomes of early childhood. Therefore, it can be concluded that the adversity quotient intelligence has an impact on the cognitive learning outcomes of early childhood. This research has implications for providing an understanding that the adversity quotient intelligence possessed by students needs to be improved because it affects their cognitive abilities.</p> 2024-06-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Ratno Abidin, Asy’ari https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JJPAUD/article/view/69997 Improving 21st Century Competencies: Implementation of Problem- and Project-Based Digital Maze Games in Early Childhood 2024-06-28T22:43:01+00:00 I Wayan Sutama wayan.sutama.fip@um.ac.id Wuri Astuti wayan.sutama.fip@um.ac.id Pramono wayan.sutama.fip@um.ac.id <p>21st century competencies are very important to develop. Developments continue to occur over time, especially in the fields of technology and economics. However, the reality on the ground shows that 90% of IT use in education is only to access information and videos shown to children. This makes communication only go in one direction and does not stimulate children's critical thinking skills. This research aims to produce a design and analyze the validity of digital maze game media to stimulate 21st century skills in children aged 5-6 years. This research is included in the type of development research using the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were 30 children with 2 material expert validators and 2 media expert validators. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the material expert validity test obtained a score of 90% (very feasible), the media expert validation test 97% (very feasible), the results of individual trials obtained a total average of 77.5% (feasible). It can be concluded that the novelty of the digital maze game media is suitable for use in learning to stimulate the 21st century skills of children aged 5-6 years. The implication of this research is that it can attract children's enthusiasm for learning. In this way, children can have collaboration skills, digital literacy, and improve critical thinking skills through problem solving to discover new vocabulary.</p> 2024-06-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 I Wayan Sutama, Wuri Astuti, Pramono
