STUDI TENTANG KEANEKARAGAMAN DAN KEMELIMPAHAN ECHINODERMATA SERTA FAKTOR-FAKTOR EKOLOGI YANG MEMPENGARUHINYA DI PANTAI GEGER, SAWANGAN, BADUNG

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis Echinodermata, keanekaragaman dan kemelimpahan Echinodermata serta faktor-faktor ekologi yang mempengaruhi kehidupan Echinodermata di pantai Geger, Sawangan, Badung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh Echinodermata yang hidup di Pantai Geger. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Echinodermata yang tercakup pada 15 kuadrat yang diletakkan di Pantai Geger. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan rancangan penelitian survei lapangan (field study) dan penelitian laboratorium. Metode pengumpulan data keanekaragaman dan kemelimpahan Echinodermata yaitu menggunakan metode observasi dengan memasang line transect. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data terhadap faktor-faktor ekologi yang mempengaruhi kehidupan Echinodermata yaitu menggunakan metode pengukuran dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Komposisi jenis Echinodermata yang hidup di pantai Geger yaitu sebanyak 19 spesies dengan jumlah total sebanyak 238 individu. (2) Indeks keanekaragaman spesies Echinodermata yang hidup di pantai Geger sebesar 2,56 dengan kategori sedang; Indeks kekayaan spesies sebesar 3,29 dengan kategori rendah; Indeks kemerataan spesies sebesar 0,87 dengan kategori tinggi dan Indeks dominansi spesies sebesar 0,10 dengan kategori tinggi. (3) Kemelimpahan relatif spesies Echinodermata tertinggi diperoleh sebesar 19,33 dari spesies Echinometra mathaei, sedangkan kemelimpahan terendah diperoleh sebesar 0,84 dari spesies Actinopyga echinites. Kepadatan spesies tertinggi yaitu Echinometra mathaei sebesar 3,06 Ind/m2, sedangkan kepadatan spesies terendah yaitu Actinopyga echinites sebesar 0,13 Ind/m2. (4) Faktor-faktor ekologi yang mempengaruhi kehidupan Echinodermata di Pantai Geger yaitu sumber makanan, suhu, pH, salinitas dan kadar oksigen terlarut.

This study aims are to determine the composition of species Echinodermata, diversity and abundance of Echinodermata and ecological factors that affecting at the Geger Beach, Sawangan, Badung. Population in this research that is all Echinodermata species that live at Geger Beach. The sample in this research is all Echinodermata covered in 15 squares placed at Geger Beach, Sawangan, Badung. This type of study is a descriptive explorative research using field survey and laboratory research. Method of collecting data on diversity and abundance of Echinodermata is using observation method by installing line transect. While the method of collecting data on ecological factors affecting the life of Echinodermata is using measurement method and literature study. The results of this study show (1) Echinodermata type composition identified throughout the squares at Geger Beach as many as 19 species with the total amount as many as 238 individuals. (2) The index of diversity of Echinodermata species that live at Geger Beach of 2.56 it is the medium category; The index species richness of 3.29 is in the low category; The index species evenness of 0.87 is in the high category and the index dominance of species of 0.10 is in the high category. (3) The relative abundance of the highest Echinodermata species is obtained by 19.33 from species Echinometra mathaei, while the lowest abundance is obtained by 0.84 from species Actinopyga echinites. The highest species density is Echinometra mathaei of 3.06 Ind/m2, whereas the lowest density of the species is Actinopyga echinites of 0.13 Ind/m2. (4) Ecological factors affecting the life of Echinodermata at the Geger Beach, Sawangan, Badung are food sources, temperature, pH, salinity and dissolved oxygen.
