EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN MODEL PEKATRIKAPA TERINTEGRASI PEMBELAJARAN IPA UNTUK PENANAMAN KARAKTER SISWA DI SMP LABORATORIUM UNDIKSHA

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Pekatrikapa (pendidikan karakter Tri Kaya Parisudha) terintegrasi pembelajaran IPA untuk penanaman karakter siswa di SMP Laboratorium Undiksha. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Laboratorium Undiksha pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 103 orang. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel yang terpilih dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII2 yang berjumlah berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelompok ekperimen dan kelas VII4 yang berjumlah 26 siswa yang terpilih sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data profil nilai karakter Tri Kaya Parisudha dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Data respon siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner. Profil nilai karakter Tri Kaya Parisdha dan respon siswa di analisis secara deskriptif. Efektivitas penerapan model Pekatrikapa di analisis secara statistik dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan profil nilai rata-rata karakter Tri Kaya Parisudha yang berkatagori baik dan sangat baik adalah 88,89 % pada kelas yang dibelajarkan model Pekatrikapa, 44,43% pada kelas yang dibelajarkan model konvensional. Rata-rata persentase respon siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Pekatrikapa memiliki kategori sangat baik yaitu 91% siswa menyatakan pembelajaran menarik, menyenangkan, memdahkan belajar, dan mendorong belajar. Di samping itu rata-rata persentase hasil penilaian diri (self assessment) menunjukan 84% menyatakan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Pekatrikapa terjadi perubahan karakter ke arah yang lebih baik. Hasil uji-t menunjukan bahwa penerapan model Pekatrikapa efektif untuk menanamkan karakter siswa di SMP Laboratorium Undiksha.

Abstract This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of integrated Pekatrikapa (education character Tri Kaya Parisudha) model of science learning for the planting of student characters in Undiksha Laboratory Junior High School. This type of research is experiment research with research design that used is post-test only control group design. The population of this research is all students of class VII Junior Undiksha Laboratory in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 103 people. The samples were taken using random sampling technique. The sample selected in this research is the students of class VII2 which amounted to 25 people as experimental group and class VII4 which amounted to 26 students selected as control group. Tri Kaya Parisudha character value data profile was collected using observation, interview, and questionnaire methods. Student response data was collected by questionnaire method. The character profile of Tri Kaya Parisdha's character and student's responses are analyzed descriptively. The effectiveness of the application of the Pekatrikapa model was analyzed statistically with the t-test. The results show that the average value of the character of Tri Kaya Parisudha with good and excellent category was 88.89% in the class which was modeled Pekatrikapa, 44.43% in the class that conventional model. The average percentage of students' responses to the lessons learned with the Pekatrikapa model has a very good category of 91% of students declaring interesting lesson, fun, facilitating, and encouraging them in learning. In addition, the average percentage of self assessment results (self assessment) showed 84% stated after following the learning with the model Pekatrikapa there is a change of character to a better state. The results of t-test show that the application of Pekatrikapa model is effective to instill the character of students in Undiksha Laboratory Junior High School.
