UJI EKSTRAK DAUN MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia L.) TERHADAP MORTALITAS LARVA NYAMUK Culex quinquefasciatus

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan mortalitas larva nyamuk akibat pemberian ekstrak daun mengkudu dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda dan (2) konsentrasi yang diperlukan untuk dapat membunuh 50% (LC 50) larva nyamuk tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen sungguhan dengan rancangan acak lengkap. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah larva instar III nyamuk Culex quinquefasciatus. Jumlah perlakuan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 yaitu 0% (kontrol), 15%, 30%, 45%, dan 60%. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 72 jam dan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA Undiksha. Data dianalisis menggunakan Anava One Away. Hasil penelitian (1) terdapat perbedaan mortalitas larva nyamuk Culex quinquefasciatus akibat pemberian ekstrak daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) dengan varian konsentrasi yang berbeda (2) berdasarkan hasil analisis probit, LC50 berada pada konsentrasi 36,78%.

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the mortality differences of mosquito larvae on given noni leaf extract with difference concentration and (2) the extract concentration is needed to kill 50% (LC 50) larvae. This study is a true experimental study using random sampling design. The samples used were instar III larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus. The treatments in this study were 5, that is 0% (control), 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60%. The research was conducted for 72 hour in the Laboratory of Biology Department of Undiksha. The data obtained were analyzed using Anova One Way test. The result indicate (1) there was difference mortality of Culex quinquefasciatus mosquito was given noni leaf extract with various concentration. (2) Based on the result of probit analysis, LC 50 was concentration at 36.78%.
