PERBEDAAN KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM PASIR DAN HUMUS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BENIH Adenium obesum

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui perbedaan komposisi media tanam pasir dan humus terhadap pertumbuhan benih tanaman Adenium obesum yang dapat dilihat dari berat kering tanaman. 2) Mengetahui Pada komposisi media tanam pasir dan humus yang mana paling efektif dalam pertumbuhan benih Adenium obesum. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian sungguhan (true experimental). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap yaitu rancangan percobaan yang menggunakan pengawasan setempat dengan pembatasan pengacakan. Percobaan ini menggunakan 7 kelompok perlakuan yang mana setiap kelompok mempunyai perbandingan campuran pasir dan humus yang berbeda yaitu pasir saja, perbandingan pasir dan humus 1:3, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 dan media tanam humus , namun sebelum memberikan perlakuan benih Adenium diberikan preetest berupa penyetaraan benih Anlisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan ANOVA satu arah dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tanaman pada perbandingan pasir dan humus 1 : 2 memiliki biomassa tertinggi dari semua perlakuan, dan terdapat beda nyata terkecil dengan media tanam pasir saja dengan beda rerata 0,339 gram. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nyata pada media tanam pasir dan humus dengan perbandingan yang berbeda. Komposisi media tanam yang paling baik untuk proses pertumbuhan benih tanaman Adenium obesum yaitu pada komposisi media tanam pasir dan humus 1 : 2.

This study aims to 1) determine the differences in the composition of sand and humus growing media on the growth of Adenium obesum plant seeds which can be seen from the dry weight of plants. 2) Knowing the composition of sand and humus growing media which is most effective in the growth of Adenium obesum seeds. This type of research includes real research (true experimental). The design of the study used in this study was a completely randomized design which was a trial design that used local supervision with restrictions on randomization. This experiment uses 7 treatment groups where each group has a different mixture of sand and humus, namely sand, sand and humus ratio 1: 3, 1: 2, 1: 1, 2: 1, 3: 1 and humus growing media, but before giving the treatment of Adenium seeds the preetest was given in the form of equalization of seed Anlisis data in this study using one-way ANOVA with a significance level of 5% and continued with the Smallest Significant Difference test (LSD). The results showed that the plants in the sand and humus 1: 2 ratio had the highest biomass of all treatments, and there was the smallest significant difference with the sand planting media with an average difference of 0.339 grams. It can be concluded that there are significant differences in sand and humus growing media with different comparisons. The best composition of planting media for the growth process of Adenium obesum seeds is the composition of sand planting media and humus 1: 2
