Abstract

Untuk mendapatkan tanaman yang lebih optimal pertumbuhannya dapat dilakukan dengan cara pemberian nutrisi tambahan air rendaman sabut kelapa. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air rendaman sabut kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman seledri, (2) menganalisis konsentrasi optimal air rendaman sabut kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman seledri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen sungguhan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah tanaman Seledri. Tanaman seledri yang memiliki panjang 5 cm digunakan sebagai sampel diperoleh dengan cara acak random sederhana. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah konsentrasi Air rendaman sabut kelapa, variabel terikatnya adalah pertumbuhan tanaman seledri yag diukur dari berat kering tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Anova one way. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) ada pengaruh pertumbuhan tanaman seledri akibat pemberian air rendaman sabut kelapa, berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yakni angka signifikansi 0,003, variasi konsentrasi air rendaman sabut kelapa masing-masing memperoleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, yang berarti H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak. Perlakuan berupa pemberian air rendaman sabut kelapa konsentrasi 20% adalah perlakuan yang paling optimal terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman seledri dengan berat kering yaitu 1, 29 gr.

In order to get a more optimal growth of a plant, can be done by providing additional nutrients such coconut water immersion. This study aims to (1) determine the effect of the coconut water immersion on the growth of celery, (2) analyze the optimal concentration of coco water immersion on the growth of celery plant. The type of this research is a real experiment with completely randomized design. The population in this study is a celery plant. Celery plant which has a length of five centimeter was used as a sample which was obtained by a simple random. The independent variables are the concentration of coconut water immersion, the dependent variable is the growth of celery plants itself which is measured by dry weight of the plants. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA statistical test. The results showed that (1) there is an influence of the growth of the plant as the result of giving the coconut water immersion, based on the results of hypothesis testing, the result showed the significance of the number in 0,003, the variations of the concentration of coconut water immersion each of it gained significance value <0.05 significance level of 5%, which means H0 and H1 is rejected. Treatment for the provision of coconut water immersion in concentration of 20% is the most optimal treatment on the growth of the celery plant with dry weight in amount of 1, 29gr.
