PEMBERIAN AIR LIMBAH TEMPE DAN EKSTRAK KULIT SINGKONG DAPAT MENINGKATKAN PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN TOMAT (Lycopersicum escuslentum Mill)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pemberian air limbah tempe dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat, (2) pemberian ekstrak kulit singkong meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat, (3) pemberian campuran air limbah tempe dan ekstrak kulit singkong meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Penelitian true experiment ini menggunakan rancangan faktorial 4 x 4 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Sampel penelitian adalah tanaman tomat varietas commune yang memenuhi kriteria panjang 5 cm. Sampel dibagi menjadi 16 kelompok, terdiri atas 1 kelompok kontrol dan 15 kelompok perlakuan. Variabel bebas penelitian adalah konsentrasi air limbah tempe dengan variasi 20%, 40%, 60% dan kosentrasi ekstrak kulit singkong dengan variasi 25%, 50%, 75%. Data primer diperoleh melalui pengukuran berat kering tanaman tomat. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat dilaporkan bahwa pemberian air limbah tempe dengan konsentrasi 60% dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat secara bermakna sebesar 27,11%, pemberian ekstrak kulit singkong dengan konsentrasi 50% dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat secara bermakna sebesar 25,42%, dan pemberian kombinasi air limbah tempe konsentrasi 60% dan ekstrak kulit singkong konsentrasi 50% meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat secara bermakna dan paling maksimal sebesar 55,93% (p < 0,05). Selisih rerata pertumbuhan tanaman tomat kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok perlakuan berupa kombinasi air limbah tempe 60% dan ekstrak kulit singkong 50% adalah 0,33gr. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa campuran air limbah tempe dan ekstrak kulit singkong dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat.

This study aims to determine (1) the distribution of water waste of tempeh can increase the growth of tomato plant, (2) the distribution of cassava peel extract increase the growth of tomato plan, (3) the distribution of the combination of the water waste of tempeh and cassava peel extract increase the growth of tomato plant. This study is a true experiment research which used factorial plan 4 x 4 with 3 times repeating. The sample of this study was tomato plants commune variety which fulfills the criteria of length 5 cm. The samples were divided into 16 groups which consist of 1 control group and 15 treatment groups. The independent variable is the concentration of water waste of tempeh with variation 20%, 40%, 60% and the concentration of peel cassava extract with variation 25%, 50%, 75%. The primary data obtained through measuring the dry weight of tomato plant. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be reported that the distribution of the water waste tempeh with the concentration of 60% can increase the growth of the tomato plant at about 27,11%, and the distribution of peel cassava extract with the concentration about 50% can increase the growth of the tomato plan at about 25,42%, and the distribution of the combination of water waste of tempeh with the concentration about 60% and the peel cassava extract with the concentration about 50% increase the tomato plant in the most maximum growth at about 55,93% (p < 0,05). The difference of the average of the growth of the tomato plant in control group and treatment groups with the combination of the water waste tempeh about 60% and peel cassava extract at about 50% is about 0,33 gr. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the combination of water waste tempeh and peel cassava extract can increase the growth of tomato plant.
