KONSTRUKSI CITRA PEREMPUAN DALAM PROGRAM TALK SHOW "CURAHAN HATI PEREMPUAN" DI TRANS TV BERDASARKAN KAJIAN ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS SARA MILLS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) representasi perempuan dalam program talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” di Trans TV berdasarkan kajian analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills dan (2) konstruksi citra perempuan ditampilkan dalam program talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” di Trans TV. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Data-data diperoleh dari hasil transkrip dialog tuturan dalam program talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” di Trans TV. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills. Hasil analisis menunjukkan (1) representasi perempuan dalam program talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” menempati narasumber dalam dua posisi sekaligus, yaitu sebagai subjek serta objek. Hal ini dikarenakan konsep program tersebut yang bertajuk talk show. Meskipun demikian, kedudukan narasumber dominan menempati posisi objek. Posisi objek membuat kedudukan narasumber termarjinalkan. Keberadaan narasumber ditampilkan oleh moderator dan panelis sehingga narasumber tidak memiliki kesempatan menampilkan dirinya dengan konstruksi positif. Selain sebagai sumber informasi bagi media, pendengar dalam program tersebut digiring untuk berpihak pada wacana yang dibentuk baik oleh moderator maupun panelis. Dengan kata lain, pendengar digiring pada pemikiran sesuai dengan pendapat subjektif dalam wacana (2) konstruksi citra perempuan dalam program talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” lebih banyak ditampilkan secara negatif. Kondisi ini merupakan imbas dari kedudukan narasumber sebagai objek yang termarjinalkan. Konstruksi citra negatif direpresentasikan melalui wacana-wacana yang disampaikan baik oleh moderator maupun oleh panelis dalam bentuk tanggapan, kritik, penggunaan dalil serta prespektif psikologis sebagai bentuk pengukuhan wacana.Kata Kunci : konstruksi citra perempuan, analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills, analisis wacana.
This research aims describe about (1) representation women in talk show program “Curahan Hati Perempuan” in Trans TV based on a critical discourse analysis of Sara Mills (2) construction of women image feature in talk show program “Curahan Hati Perempuan” in Trans TV. This research used qualitative approach. This type of research belong to descriptive research. Data collection in this research is done by using documentation method. Data obtained from the transcript of speech dialogue in talk show program “Curahan Hati Perempuan” in Trans TV. The data generated from the speech dialog transcripts on talk show “Curahan Hati Perempuan” in Trans TV.The analysis using Sara Mills critical discourse analysis model. The result showed that (2) the repretentation of women in the talk show program “Curahan Hati Perempuan” occupies resourch in two positions at once it as subjects and objects it is because the concept program is talk show. Thus, the dominant resourch position occupies the position of the object. The position of the object makes the position of resourch marginalized. The presence of resource persons is presented by moderators and panelists so that the speakers themselves dont have the opportunity to present themselves with positive constructs. In addition to being a source of information for the media, listeners in this program are directed to support the discourse formed by moderators or panelists. In other word, the listener is led to thingking according to the opinion in the discourse (2) women image construction is more shown in the talk show program “Curahan Hati Perempuan” the conditions is the impact of the attitude of resourch as a marginalized object. Negative image construction was represented through discourses delivered by both moderators and panelists in the form of responses, criticisms, use of propositions and psychological perspectives as a form of discourses strengthening.
