PENGGUNAAN MODEL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS BIOGRAFI DI KELAS X SMAN 1 SUKASADA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) prestasi siswa pada penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi di kelas X SMAN 1 Sukasada, (2) langkah-langkah penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi di kelas X SMAN 1 Sukasada, (3) respons siswa terhadap pelaksanaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi di kelas X SMAN 1 Sukasada. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) prestasi siswa dengan menggunakan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi tergolong baik dengan rata-rata nilai 84,4, (2) penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi telah memenuhi prosedur yang dipersyaratkan, yaitu (a) kegiatan pendahuluan guru mampu merangsang semangat siswa, (b) kegiatan inti siswa mampu menulis teks biografi sesuai struktur, dan (c) kegiatan penutup siswa mampu menyimpulkan materi yang diajarkan, (3) respons siswa terhadap penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks tergolong sangat positif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini (1) prestasi siswa dengan menggunakan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi tergolong baik, (2) penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti yaitu mewawancarai guru dan membuat teks biografi, dan kegiatan penutup, (3) respons siswa terhadap penggunaan model experiential learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks biografi tergolong sangat positif.

The main objective of this research is to describe about; 1) the students’ achievement by using experiential learning model in writing biography text for 10th grade in SMA N 1 Sukasada, 2) the steps of using experiential learning model in writing biography text for 10th grade in SMA N 1 Sukasada, 3) the students’ response toward the implementation of experiential learning model in writing biography text for 10th grade in SMA N 1 Sukasada. This study used descriptive quantitative and qualitative design with the subjects from Bahasa Indonesia teacher and the students. The object of this study was experiential learning model in writing biography text. The data were collected by using several methods namely observation, documentation and questionnaire. Next, the data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result showed that 1) the students’ achievement by using experiential learning model in writing biography text were categorized as good with average score 84.4, 2) the steps of using experiential learning model in writing biography text were already fulfilled such as (a) pre-activity for student’s brainstorming, b) whilst-activity, that the students were able to create structured biography text, c) post-activity in which the students were able to make conclusion of the learned material, 3) the students’ response toward the implementation of experiential learning model in writing biography text categorized as positive which meant the students were comfortable to learn by using experiential learning model. It could be concluded that 1) the students’ achievement by using experiential learning model in writing biography text were categorized as good, 2) the implementation of experiential learning model in writing biography text were done in three steps, they were pre-activity, whilst-activity in which the students were interviewing the teacher and writing biography text, and post-activity, 3) the students’ response toward the implementation of experiential learning model in writing biography text categorized as positive.
