Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa hingga tercapainya tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada kegiatan menulis karangan narasi dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri, (2) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah yang ditempuh dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri, dan (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 3 Mendoyo yang berjumlah 35 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil, langkah-langkah, dan respons siswa dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes, observasi, angket/kuesioner, dan wawacara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) tercapainya ketuntasan hasil belajar menulis karangan narasi siswa berkat diterapkannya metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri, yakni pada pratindakan skor rata-rata klasikal 70, siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata klasikal 73, dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata klasikal siswa menjadi 81, (2) terdapat beberapa langkah penerapan metode pembelajaran parisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi, dan (3) siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat positif terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran partisipatif berbantuan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti lain disarankan untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran partisipatif dan media gambar berseri, sebagai salah satu metode dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, pada mata pelajaran bahasa yang lain pada umumnya dan pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, pada khususnya.

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was aimed to (1) describe the improvement of student achievement in attain the students mastery level of learning outcomes in writing a narrative text by using participatory learning methods aided by media named picture series, ( 2 ) describe the steps taken in applying the participatory learning method aided by picture series as the media, and ( 3 ) describe the response of students through the application of participatory learning methods aided by picture series as the media. Subjects in this study were the teachers and 35 students of class VIIIA of SMP Negeri 3 Mendoyo. Object of this study was the increase of students learning outcomes, the steps, and the response of students in the application of participatory learning methods iaded by picture series. The methods of data collection used in this study are test, observation, questionnaires, and interview. Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques of quantitative and qualitative description. The results of this study were ( 1 ) the achievement of students mastery level of learning outcomes in writing a narrative text through the implementation of participatory learning methods aided by picture series as he media, those were: the average of students score before implementing the method and media were 70, in first cycle the average of students score were 73, and second cycle the average of students score were 81, ( 2 ) there are several steps in implementing participatory learning methods aided by picture series as the media to improve students ability in writing narrative text, and ( 3 ) students responded very positively to the implementation of participatory learning methods aided by picture series in writing narrative text. Based on those results, researcher suggests to implement the participatory learning methods aided by picture series, as one of methods of learning and innovative media, in teaching language in general and particularly in teaching Bahasa Indonesian.
