PEMBERITAAN KASUS KORUPSI DI BALI PADA MEDIA CETAK BALI POST DAN JAWA POS: SUATU KAJIAN TEORI ROGER FOWLER, DKK.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis cara media Bali Post dan Jawa Pos dalam mengonstruksikan kasus korupsi di Bali dan (2) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kecenderungan sikap Bali Post dan Jawa Pos dalam mengonstruksikan kasus korupsi di Bali ditinjau dari teori Roger Fowler, dkk. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah media cetak Bali Post dan Jawa Pos. Sementara itu, objek penelitian ini adalah pemberitaan kasus korupsi di Bali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi yang berupa pustaka. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kartu data. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis wacana kritis Roger Fowler, dkk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Bali Post dan Jawa Pos lebih banyak menggunakan kosakata dalam mengontruksikan kasus korupsi di Bali, (2) Bali Post dan Jawa Pos lebih banyak menggunakan praktik pemakaian bahasa disfemisme (pengasaran) untuk mengonstruksikan kasus korupsi di Bali dengan tujuan memarjinalkan para pelaku korupsi dan berpihak pada masyarakat.Kata Kunci : kasus korupsi, Bali Post, Jawa Pos, analisis wacana kritis, teori Roger Fowler, dkk.
This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed to (1) describe and analyze how Bali Post and Jawa Pos constructing corruption cases in Bali and (2) to describe and analyze attitudes of Bali Post and Jawa Post in constructing corruption cases in Bali in terms of Roger Fowler, et al theory. The subjects in this study is the Jawa Pos and Bali Post newspaper. Meanwhile, the object of this study is the reporting of corruption cases in Bali. Data collected by the documentation method in the form of clippings. Data collection instrument in this study using the data card. Data was obtained and analyzed using the technique of critical discourse analysis by Roger Fowler, et al. The results showed that (1) Bali Post and Jawa Pos using more vocabulary for constructing a news with various goals/interests, (2) Bali Post and Jawa Post using more disfemisme practice language (coarsening) to construct the corruption cases in Bali in order to marginalize one of the parties' attention in the news and the public.
