ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER NOVEL SEPATU DAHLAN KARYA KHRISNA PABICHARA DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP PENGAJARAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER SEKOLAH DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khirsna Pabichara (2) mengetahui relevansi novel Sepatu Dahlan terhadap pengajaran pendidikan karakter sekolah di Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang tergolong penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan data apa adanya dan menjelaskan data tersebut dengan kalimat-kalimat kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara, sedangkan objeknya adalah nilai-niai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara serta relevansi novel Sepatu Dahlan terhadap pengajaran pendidikan karakter sekolah di Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi, data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan ada 14 yaitu, nilai karakter religius, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, jujur, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, dan tanggung jawab , (2) terdapat relevansi atau hubungan yang terkait antara nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter novel Sepatu Dahlan terhadap pengajaran pendidikan karakter sekolah di Indonesia. Jadi dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan terdapat nilai-nilai karakter yang dapat dikaitkan dengan pengajaran pendidikan karakter sekolah di Indonesia

This study aimed at (1) finding out the character education value in Sepatu Dahlan novel written by Khrisna Pabichara and (2) finding out the relevance of Sepatu Dahlan novel toward the teaching of character education at school in Indonesia. This study was descriptive qualitative stud, in which the data were described qualitatively. The subject of the study was Sepatu Dahlan novel written by Khrisna Pabichara. The object of the tudy were the character education value in Sepatu Dahlan novel and the relevancy of Sepatu Dahlan novel toward the teaching of character education at school in Indonesia. The method of data collection used in this study was documentation. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively. The findings of the study showed that (1) there were 14 values of character education in Sepatu Dahlan novel such as religious, tolerant, discipline, hard work, creative, appreciating achivement, friendly, /communicative, avid reader, care for the environment, social care, honest, independent, courious, and responsible, (2) there was relevancy between the values of character education in Sepatu Dahlan novel and the theaching of character education at school in Indonesia. So, in Sepatu Dahlan novel, there were character values which was relevant to the teaching pf character education at school in Indonesia.
