PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KARYA ILMIAH SISWA KELAS XII IPA 1 SMA LAB UNDIKSHA

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah yang ditempuh untuk mengimplentasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha dalam menulis karya ilmiah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing. (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha yang berjumlah 40 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat beberapa langkah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Langkah-langkah tersebut menekankan pada pembelajaran menulis karya ilmiah yang sebelumnya siswa diajak untuk memahami kaidah-kaidah karya ilmiah, membat secara langsung, dan diskusi mendalam dengan kelompok-kelompok kecil, (2) hasil kedua adalah peningkatan skor siswa yang sebelumnya yakni pada pratindakan skor rata-rata klasikal 67, siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata klasikal 71, sedangkan pada siklus II skor rata-sata secara klasikal menjadi 80, dan (3) siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat positif terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing dalam pembelajaran menulis karya ilmiah.

This classroom action research aimed (1) describing the steps taken to implement the cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing to improve the writing skills of the scientific papers of students class XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha (2) describing enhancements to student learning outcomes XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha in writing scientific papers by applying cooperative learning model Throwing Snowball. (3) describing the students response toward this type of learning. Subjects in this study were students of class XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha totaling 40 people. Data collection method used in this research is the method of observation, testing, and interviews. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive technique. The results of this study are (1) there are several steps the implementation of cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing to improve the ability of students of class XII IPA 1 SMA Lab Undiksha in writing scientific papers. Such steps emphasize on learning to write scientific papers before students are encouraged to understand the rules of scientific papers, make directly, and in-depth discussions with small groups. (2) The second is the increase in student scores on the pre-action before the average score of classical 67, the cycle I gained an average score of classical 71, while in the second cycle the average score in the classical to 80, and (3) students gave responded very positive to the cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing in learning to write scientific papers.
