PENGARUH PRATES TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 2 SERIRIT PADA PEMBELAJARAN MEMAHAMI BUKU NOVEL REMAJA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) hasil belajar siswa tanpa menggunakan prates, (2) hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan prates, dan (3) pengaruh prates terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Seririt pada pembelajaran memahami buku novel remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. Objek penelitian ini ialah prates dan hasil belajar. Populasi dalam penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIIID dan VIIIE (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas VIIIA dan VIIIC (kelas kontrol). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes. Analisis data yaitu (1) menyusun data Posstest, (2) menghitung mean dan standar deviasi, (3) uji normalitas, (4) uji homogenitas, dan (5) uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut (1) hasil belajar siswa tanpa menggunakan prates menunjukkan bahwa dari 56 siswa, skor tertinggi ialah 24, dan skor terendah adalah 15. Siswa yang dinyatakan tuntas hanya 23,22% dan 76,78% dinyatakan belum tuntas. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 19,34. (2) Hasil belajar siswa dengan pemberian prates menunjukkan bahwa dari 56 siswa, skor tertinggi adalah 30 dan skor terendah ialah 20. Siswa yang dinyatakan tuntas 85,72% dan yang belum tuntas 14,28%. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 24,95. (3) Prates berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran memahami buku novel remaja. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil uji t yang menghasilkan thitung lebih besar dari nilai ttabel (thitung = 11,090 > ttabel = 2,00).

This study aimed at describing (1) the results of students’ learning process without using a pre-test, (2) students’learning outcomes by using pre-test, and (3) the effect of pretest towards students’ learning outcomes of class VIII in SMP Negeri 2 Seririt on understanding the teenage novel book learning. The design of this research was Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The subject was the students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. The objects of this research were pre-test and learning outcomes. Population in research was eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. The samples were VIIID and VIIIE class as experimental class and class VIIIA and VIIIC as control group. Data was collected by using method of test. Data collection used was method of test. Data analysis: (1) compiling data Posttests, (2) calculating the mean and standard deviation, (3) testing for normality, (4) homogeneity, and (5) hypothesis testing. Results of this research as follows: (1) students' learning outcomes without using pre-test showed that from the 56 students, the highest score was 24, and the lowest score was 15. The Students who declared complete only 23.22% and 76.78% declared not yet complete. The average students' learning outcomes was 19.34. (2) The results of students' learning process by administering pre-test showed that from the 56 students, the highest score was 30 and the lowest score was 20. Students who declared complete 85.72% and 14.28% unresolved. The average students' learning outcomes was 24.95. 3) The effects of Pre test were positive and significant on students' learning outcomes in Learning understanding the teenage novel book. It was shown from the results of the t test that thitung was higher than ttabel (thitung = 11.090 > ttabel = 2. 00).
