PENERAPAN TEKNIK PEMODELAN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS CERPEN PADA SISWA KELAS VIIK SMP NEGERI 1 NEGARA

Penelitian Deskriptif ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah yang tepat dalam penerapan teknik pemodelan, (2) mendeskripsikan prestasi siswa dalam menulis cerpen dengan penerapan teknik pemodelan, (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan teknik pemodelan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIIK SMP Negeri 1 Negara yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah penerapan teknik pemodelan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, metode tes, dan metode angket/kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat 17 langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang ditempuh guru dalam menerapkan teknik pemodelan. Secara umum, langkah-langkah yang ditempuh adalah (a) orientasi cerpen, (b) analisis struktur cerpen, (c) menganalisis model cerpen, (d) menulis cerpen, (e) mempresentasikan produk cerpen, dan (f) merivisi produk cerpen, (2) siswa memperoleh prestasi yang baik karena diterapkannya teknik pemodelan, dan (3) siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat positif terhadap penerapan teknik pemodelan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpenKata Kunci : teknik pemodelan, menulis, cerpen, respons
The aims of this descriptive study are (1) to describe the proper steps in implementing modeling technique, (2) to describe students’ achievements on writing short story by the implementation of modeling technique, (3) to describe students’ responses to the implementation of modeling technique. The subjects of this study are the teacher and a class of students in VIIK class, which consists of 36 students, at SMP Negeri 1 Negara. The object of this study is the implementation of modeling technique. The method of collecting the data used in this study are observation, test, and questionnaire method. The data is analyzed by the descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative techniques. The result of this study are (1) there are 17 learning steps used by the teacher in implementing modeling technique. In general, the learning steps which used are (a) short story orientation, (b) the analysis of short story structure, (c) analyzing short story model, (d) writing short story, (e) presenting short story product, and (f) revising short story product, (2) the students obtain good achievement caused by the implementation of modeling technique, and (3) the students give very positive responses to the implementation of modeling technique in writing short story learning
