PENGARUH MODEL BERBASIS MASALAH (PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP FISIKA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 SAWAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning) terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa mengenai materi Listrik Dinamis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Sawan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan jumlah populasi 183 orang. Sampel diambil dengan cara simple random sampling berjumlah 105 orang siswa. Variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Variabel bebas adalah model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dan model pembelajaran langsung. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep berbentuk tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif, ANAVA, dan uji LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model problem based learning dan model pembelajaran langsung (F = 20,012; p<0,05). 2) Hasil uji LSD dalam penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa model problem based learning lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran langsung

This study aimed at analyzing the influence of problem based learning model towards students' physics concept understanding in dynamic electric. This study was quasi experimental of one way pretes-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Population of this study were students’ (183 students) in tenth grade of SMAN 1 Sawan in academic year 2013/2014. The samples were chosen randomly by simple random sampling technique and 105 students were determined as samples. The dependent variable in this study was the students’ concept understanding of physics, while the independent variable were problem based learning model and direct interaction model. The data collected in this study was the concept understanding of physics. The instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test of concept understanding of physics. They were analized by using descriptive statistics, ANAVA, and LSD. The result of this study shows that 1) there are significant differences of concept understanding of physics between the student who learn by using problem based leaning model and the student who learn by using direct instruction model (F = 20,012; p<0,05). 2) Based on test of LSD, it's shown that the problem based learning model is better than direct interaction model.
