ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 2 NEGARA TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir kritis, (2) mendeskripsikan keterampilan identifikasi masalah, (3) mendeskripsikan keterampilan merumuskan hipotesis, (4) mendeskripsikan keterampilan menganalisis masalah, (5) mendeskripsikan keterampilan menarik kesimpulan, dan (6) mendeskripsikan keterampilan melakukan evaluasi. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan subjek penelitian adalah kelas X di SMAN 2 Negara yang berjumlah 346 siswa. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dianalisis secara deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika rata-rata mendapat nilai 30,65 dengan kualifikasi sangat rendah, (2) tingkat mengidentifikasi masalah masih berada dengan rata-rata sebesar 39,64 dengan kualifikasi sangat rendah, (3) tingkat merumuskan hipotesis dengan rata-rata sebesar 43,24 dengan kualifikasi rendah, (4) tingkat menganalisis masalah memperoleh nilai 27,04 dengan kualifikasi sangat rendah, (5) tingkat menarik kesimpulan memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 20,56 dengan kualifikasi sangat rendah, dan (6) tingkat melakukan evaluasi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 22,73 dengan kualifikasi sangat rendah. Sehingga disimpulkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih berada pada kategori sangat rendah.

This research aimed at (1) describing the profile of critical thinking skills, (2) describing the skills of problem identification, (3) describing the skills to formulate a hypothesis, (4) describing the skills to analyze problems, (5) describing the skills to draw conclusions, and (6) describing the skills to evaluate. The type of this research was descriptive and analytic. This research subject was 346 clas X students of SMAN 2 Negara. Data of the research were collected by using observation, interviews, and critical thinking skills tests which were analyzed by descriptive analytic. The results show that (1) the average level of students’ critical thinking skills in physics is 30.65 with a very low qualification, (2) the level of identifying the problems is averagely still at the score 39.64 with a very low qualification, (3) the degree to formulate hypotheses is averagely at 43.24 with low qualification, (4) the level of analyzing the problem gets score 27.04 with a very low qualification, (5) the level of drawing the conclusions gains the average score 20.56 with a very low qualification, and (6) the levels to evaluate gains the average score 22.73 with a vey low qualification. Thus it can be concluded that the students' critical thinking skills is still at the very low category.
