MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA SERTA DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan model pembelajaran inkuiri dalam pembelajaran fisika, (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan (3) dampak secara kualitatif model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas X.7 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. Tekknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, tes, dan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data, pengujian keabsahan data, dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) perencanaan model pembelajaran inkuiri berupa indikator, tujuan, langkah-langkah pembelajaran, sumber belajar, media dan evaluasi yang tertuang pada RPP sudah memfasilitasi komponen kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) nilai rata-rata klasikal kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah 34,06 dengan standar deviasi 14,18 dan berkategori sangat rendah, (3) dampak secara kualitatif model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan tahap-tahap inkuiri yang tidak utuh dapat mempengaruhi aspek identifikasi masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, analisis masalah, penarikan kesimpulan, dan evaluasi menjadi rendah.

This study aimed at describing (1) the inquiry learning strategy in physics learning, (2) critical thinking skills, and (3) the impact of qualitative inquiry learning modeles towards the students' critical thinking skills. The type of this research was qualitative. The study was conducted in class X7 of SMAN 2 Banjar. Data were collected by using observation, interviews, documentation, testing, and triangulation. Data were analyzed by using data reduction, data presentation, data verification, testing the validity of data, and qualitative descriptive. The results of the study are as follow: (1) the planning of inquiry learning modeles namely indicators, objectives, learning steps, learning resources, media, and evaluation contained in the RPP has facilitated the components of critical thinking skills, (2) the average value of classical critical thinking skills is 34.06 with a standard deviation 14.18 and is categorized very low, (3) the qualitatively impact of inquiry learning modeles towards the students' critical thinking skills shows that the implementation of the inquiry stages which are not intact can affect to become low the aspects of identifying problems, formulating a hypothesis and problem analysis, drawing conclusions, and evaluation.
