PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DEBATE TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berbicara pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran debate siswa kelas V di Gugus III Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan post-testonly control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD di Gugus III Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas V SDN 1 dan 2 Padangbulia dan kelas V SDN 1 dan 2 Silangjana yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode non-tes. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi keterampilan berbicara siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial yaitu uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berbicara yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajrkan dengan model pebelajaran debate dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model (konvesional) tanpa debat dengan nilai thitung sebesar 1,781> ttabel 1,668. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata keterampilan berbicara kelompok eksperimen 15,32 lebih besar dari rata-rata keterampilan berbicara kelompok kontrol yaitu 11,90 dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran debate berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SD di Gugus III Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan refrensi bagi peneliti lain dalam mengadakan penelitian lebih lanjut model pembelajaran debate, sehingga diperoleh sumbangan ilmu untuk pengembangan pendidikan.Adanya perbedaan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SD di Gugus III Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran debate, keterampilan berbicara
This research aims to discover the significant difference of speaking ability in Bahasa Indonesia lesson among grade V students of gugus III Buleleng regency academic year 2016/2017 who are design. The population of this research are the 5th graders in gugus III Buleleng regency academic year 2016/2017. Sampel of the research are 5th graders students of SDN 1 and 2 Padangbulia and SDN 1 and 2 Silangjana using simple random sampling. Non-test method is used to collect the data of the research. The instruments are observation sheets of students speaking ability. The data is analyzed by using descriptive statistic analysis and test-t inferential statistics. The result of this study shows there significant differences of speaking ability between students taught by convetional method and debate model method with thitung score 1,781 > ttabel 1,668. Based on the average of experiment’s group have 15,32 bigger than the average score of the control group which only 11,90.It can be concluded that debate method has positive effect towards to speaking ability of gugus III Buleleng regency’s 5th graders academic year 2016/2017. This researchof study is able to be used as a reference to have further researches that is using debate method and it is beneficial for education development.
