PENGARUH PENDEKATAN SAVI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA DENGAN KOVARIABEL MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan SAVI dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional, (2) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan SAVI dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional setelah kovariabel motivasi berprestasi dikendalikan, (3) mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi motivasi berprestasi siswa terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen, dengan rancangan non-equivalent post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas V di SD Gugus I Kecamatan Gianyar Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 385 siswa dan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah 98 siswa. Dua instrumen pokok penelitian yaitu kuesioner motivasi berprestasi dan tes hasil belajar IPA. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, uji anava satu jalur, uji anakova satu jalur, dan uji korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan hasil sebagai berikut. Pertama, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan SAVI dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional (Fhitung=255,33; ttabel=3,94; taraf signifikansi 5% sehingga thitung > ttabel). Kedua, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan SAVI dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional setelah kovariabel motivasi berprestasi dikendalikan (Fhitung = 123,38;Ftabel = 3,94; taraf signifikansi 5%) sehingga Fhitung > Ftabel). Ketiga, terdapat kontribusi motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa sebesar 49%.

This research aims to (1) knowing the differences learning result of science students between student who following the SAVI approach and students who following the conventional approach, (2) knowing the differences learning result of science students between students who following the SAVI approach and students who following the conventional approach after the achievement motivation covariable has controlled, (3) knowing how huge the achievement motivation contribution of students to the science learning result of the student. This research type is quasi experiment research by the device of non equivalent post test only control group design. The research populations are 5th grades in elementary school in cluster I Gianyar district in 2013/2014 school year which amount to 385 students and the sample research used are 98 students. Two fundamental research instrument are the achievement motivation quesionare and the learn result of the science test. The data obtained to be analyzed using descriptive statistic analyzed, anava one band test, the anacova one band test, and the correlations test of product moment. The result of the study shows that. First, there are signiican differences of the student learning between group of students who following following the SAVI approach and students who following the conventional approach (Fcount=255,33; Ftable=3,94;the significan level is 5% so that Fcount > Ftable). Second, there are s significan differences of the student learning result between student who following the SAVI approach and students who following the conventional approach after covariable achievement motivation has controlled (Fcount=123,38;Ftable=3,94; significan level 5% so that Fcount > Ftable). Third, there are contribution of achievement motivation to the result learning of science student is 49%.
