Abstract

This research was conducted because of problems the result IPA is low. The purpose of this study there are: (1) To find difference science result between students' learned with the Talking Stick method with the help of picture and students that learned by conventional learning. (2) To find difference science result between students' which have high activity of learning and students who have low activeness of learning. (3) To determine the effect of interaction between the learning method Talking Stick with the help of picture and activity of learning towards science result. This research is a quasi-experimental research design with post test only control group design. Data were collected with a multiple-choice test for learning outcomes and observation sheet for the activity of learning. The results of this study were (1) there was difference science result between students' learned with the Talking Stick method with the help of picture and students that learned by conventional learning with thitung> ttabel. Value thitung = 5.47, while the value table = 4.02. (2) there are difference science result between students' which have high activity of learning and students who have low activeness of learning with thitung> ttabel. Value t hitung = 12.77, while the value table = 4.02. (3) there was interaction between the learning method Talking Stick with the help of picture and activity of learning towards science result with thitung> ttabel. Value t hitung = 10.65, while the value table = 4.02. That’s means, the application of Talking Stick method with the help of picture have effect on learning outcomes in terms of students' learning activeness.
