PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE ANALOGI TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah post test only control group design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan metode analogi berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus VI Kecamatan Sawan. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus VI Kecamatan Sawan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 162 orang. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik multistage random sampling yang menghasilkan Kelas IVA SD Negeri 1 Sangsit sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan Kelas IVB SD Negeri 1 Sangsit sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data mengenai pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian. Setelah diberikan post-test, data hasil pemahaman konsep matematika siswa diuji menggunakan uji-t satu ekor (ekor kanan). Hasil pemberian post-test diperoleh rata-rata skor pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 76,35, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol adalah 64,34. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan uji t satu ekor (ekor kanan) dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,651 dan ttabel = 1,671. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode analogi berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus VI Kecamatan Sawan.

This study was a quasi-experiment research. The posttest-only control group design was used in this experiment. This study aimed to knowing whether the use of the analogy method has positive influence on students' understanding of mathematical concepts of Fourth Grade Elementary School Cluster VI District Sawan. The population of the research was the Fourth Grade Elementary School Cluster VI District Sawan in the odd semester in the academic year 2013/2014, as many as 162 students'. The sample was choosen randomly by implementing the multistage random sampling technique that produced class IVA SD Negeri 1 Sangsit as the experiment group and class IVB SD Negeri 1 Sangsit as the control group. The instrument used in collecting data of the students' understanding of mathematical concepts were essay test. Data of students' understanding of mathematical concepts were analyzed using a t-test of one tailed (right tail). The mean score students' understanding of mathematical concepts of experiment group 76,35 and the mean students' understanding of mathematical concepts of control group 64,34. The result of calculation used one tailed (right tail) t-test at significance level of 5% there was value of tcalculation = 2,651 and ttable = 1,671. The result showed that the use of analogy method has positive influence on students' understanding of mathematical concepts Fourth Grade Elementary School Cluster VI District of Sawan.
