PENGARUH PENILAIAN DIRI TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII NON UNGGULAN SMP NEGERI 2 SINGARAJA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan melakukan penilaian diri lebih baik daripada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII non unggulan SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII 4 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data pemahaman konsep matematika siswa diperoleh melalui tes uraian sebanyak lima butir. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Dari hasil analisis data, diperoleh t-hitung = 2, 725 dan t-tabel= 1,993. Hal ini berarti t-hitung > t-tabel, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran dengan melakukan penilaian diri lebih baik daripada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan kata lain, penilaian diri berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII non unggulan SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja.

This research was aimed to know whether the students’ understanding of mathematical concepts who were taught by self-assessment was better than the students’ understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning. The design of the research was post-test only control group design. The population of this research consist of all regular eight grade studentsat SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in academic year 2015/2016. Random sampling was used as technique to select the sample from that process, the students of VIII 4 class has been chosen as the experimental group and VIII 3 class as control group. The data of students’ understanding of mathematical concepts were collected through mathematical concepts understanding test that consist of five items. Then, the data was analysed by using one-tailed t-test. The result of data analysis obtained t-observation = 2,725 and t-table = 1,993. It means t-observation > t-table so it can be concluded that the mathematical conceptual understanding of studentswho were taught by self-assessment is better mathematical conceptual understanding of students with conventional learning. In other words, self-assessment give positive effect to mathematical conceptual understanding of students of regular eight grade SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja.
