PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING BERBANTUAN KARTU MASALAH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DALAM PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 3 TAMPAKSIRING

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing berbantuan kartu masalah lebih tinggi dari siswa yang mengikuti dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Post-test Only Control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Tampaksiring tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang tersebar dalam 8 kelas.Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random sampling, sehingga terpilih Kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol.Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa t hitung = 2,972 > t tabel = 1,684. Akibatnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing berbantuan kartu masalah lebih tinggi dari pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung.

The aims of this research is to determine whether students ability of creative thinking in mathematical problem solving that learned by Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model aided by problem card higher than students ability of creative thinking in mathematical problem solving that learned by direct intruction learning model.The research used was Post-test Only Control Design reserch. The population of the reasearch were grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tampaksiring students in the academic year 2015/2016 that spread into 8 classes. The sampling technique that used was random sampling, in which class VIII C is selected as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class. Data about ability of creative thinking in mathematical problem solving were colected with aessay test.Then the data were analyzed using t-test with 5% significance level. The result of hypothesis test showed that t count = 2,972 > t table = 1,684. The conclution is the ability of creative thinking in mathematical problems solving of students who learned by Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model aided by problem card higher than that students who learned by direct intruction learning model.
