The research design was correlational and comparative, involving 40 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire to measure respondents' PGT and scholastic performance. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient to examine the relationship between PGT and scholastic performance and the Mann-Whitney Wilcoxon Test to examine gender differences in PGT acquisition and scholastic performance. The results showed no significant correlation between PGT acquisition and scholastic performance. Additionally, there were no significant gender differences in PGT acquisition, highlighting the importance of recognizing individual skills without regard to gender stereotypes. However, the results showed that male respondents demonstrated superior scholastic performance to female respondents, suggesting that educational choices may be better suited to individual strengths. The implications of these findings can encourage the development of educational programs that are more inclusive and support the development of individual potential regardless of gender.
Jomar Cabuquin, Mae Caroline Tolibas Copyright (c) 2024 Jomar Cabuquin, Mae Caroline Tolibas http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/69023 Sun, 28 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Digital Divide and Digital Competence among Accounting Students https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/67739
The problem of this research is the existence of a digital divide among accounting students in Indonesia despite the rapid growth of the digital economy in Southeast Asia. This research explores the relationship between the digital divide, seen through social factors, and the digital competence of accounting students. This research uses a quantitative approach, with the subjects being accounting students. Data was collected through a survey with a questionnaire distributed to 398 accounting students at various universities in Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive tests and non-parametric tests. The research results show that social factors significantly influence students' digital access and competence. Younger students tend to have higher levels of digital competency. Family factors such as parental education, employment, and income significantly influence students' digital abilities. In addition, computer ownership by students and effective technology integration by lecturers also impact students' digital competence. In conclusion, the digital divide still exists among accounting students in Indonesia, which affects their digital competence. The implications of this research include the need for curriculum expansion and social interventions to overcome the digital divide among accounting students, ensuring their readiness to face the digital era.
Weli, Mukhlasin Mukhlasin, Julianti Sjarief, Synthia Madyakusumawati Copyright (c) 2023 Weli Weli, Mukhlasin Mukhlasin, Julianti Sjarief, Synthia Madyakusumawati http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/67739 Sun, 28 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Three-Dimensional Science Animation Implementation and Spatial Ability for Science Concept Reconstruction: A Gender-Based Education Study https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/68005
Spatial abilities are essential to individual life and development, but gender differences in these abilities, especially in multimedia learning, are of concern. This research aims to examine the influence of gender and type of multimedia on learning outcomes in Natural Sciences (IPA) while still controlling for the influence of spatial abilities. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research sample consisted of 164 students. Data were collected through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) techniques using SPSS software. Data analysis was conducted using the MANCOVA technique to test the influence of the independent variables (gender and type of multimedia) on the dependent variable (science learning outcomes) by controlling spatial ability as a covariate. Spatial ability has an overall significant influence on science learning outcomes. Boys consistently performed better than girls in all learning tasks, regardless of multimedia type. Girls also tend to prefer 3D learning media to understand science concepts. This research provides empirical evidence about the separate gender effects of spatial ability when learning using 2D static learning multimedia and 3D animation. The implication is that educational policymakers can pay attention to differences in gender preferences when choosing multimedia learning types to increase the effectiveness of science learning.
Edward Harefa, Hardikupatu Gulo Copyright (c) 2023 Edward Harefa, Hardikupatu Gulo http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/68005 Sun, 28 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Knowledge Profile of Therapeutic Communication Students of Health Services Expertise Program at Vocational School https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/69312
Therapeutic communication is used by health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or counselors, to help individuals overcome emotional, psychological, or physical problems. This type of research is quantitative research. The research design of this study is complex correlational research. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistics. Secondary data from existing research studies were used and summarized using standard statistical metrics. In addition, ordinal regression analysis was used to determine the predictors of students' SQ3R level in statistics learning and was tested at a standard significance level. Findings reveal that students usually use the SQ3R method to learn statistics during online learning. The statistical model illustrates that students' ability to read and review statistics is shaped by the learning environment, teaching attitudes, physical and emotional health, and free time activities. The study suggests that to improve students' learning of statistics in distance education, educational institutions and professors should create a conducive learning environment, use strategic teaching methods, and emphasize the importance of harmonious study habits due to the SQ3R method.
Leomarich F Casinillo, Melbert Hungo, Rujube Hermano Copyright (c) 2023 Leomarich F Casinillo, Melbert Hungo, Rujube Hermano http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/69445 Sun, 28 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Revolutionizing Education: Unleashing the Power of the ADDIE Model for Effective Teaching and Learning https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPI/article/view/68624
In recent years, the ADDIE Model has emerged as a robust framework that revolutionizes education by providing a systematic approach to instructional design and development.
