About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Wahana Matematika dan Sains: Jurnal Matematika, Sains dan Pembelajarannya, is an academic journal dedicated to publishing original research article and literature reviews in the field of mathematics, science and/or mathematics/science education. Submission must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.
The journals encompasses a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by two reviewers through a single-blind peer review process, with primary consideration given to their alignment ith the journal's scope, the novelty of the findings, and adherence to the journal's formating and style guidelines.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its published content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Publication Frequency
Wahana Matematika dan Sains: Jurnal Matematika, Sains dan Pembelajarannya, is published three times a year, in April, August and December.

Publication Ethics
Author Ethics
- Reporting Standards:
Authors are required to present their research process and findings to the editorial team honestly, clearly, and comprehensively. Author must also retain their research data properly and securely.
- Originality and Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, written by themselves, derived from their own ideas, and does not plagiarize the work, ideas, or thoughts of others. Authors are strictly prohibited from misattributing cited sources to individuals other than the original authors.
- Simultaneous Submission:
Authors must confirm that the submitted manuscripthas not been previously submitted to or published by another journal or publication. In cases where redundant or simultaneous submission is identified, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript.
- Authors Status:
Authors must inform the editorial board that they possess the necessary expertise or qualifications relevant to the journal's scope. The submitting author should be the first author (or corresponding co-author), so that any issues arising during the publication process can be address promptly.
- Manuscript Errors:
Authors are obliged to promptly notify the editorial board of any errors discovered in the manuscript, whether during the review or editing stages. These erors may include innaccuracies in names, affiliation, citations, or any other content that could affect the meaning and substances of the manuscript. Authors must immediately propose appropriate corrections when such errors are identified.
- Disclosure of Conflict of Interest:
Authors must be aware of and adhere to the ethical standards of academic publishing to avoid potential conflicts of interest with other parties, thereby ensuring a smooth and secure publication process.
Editorial Ethics
- Publication Decisions:
Editors are responsible for ensuring that manuscript evaluations are conducted thoroughly, transparently, objectively, fairly, and prudently. These principles form the basis for editorial decisions regarding the acceptance of rejection of a manuscript. In this contect, the editorial board functions as the manuscript selection committee.
- Publication Information:
Editors must ensure that manusript submission guidelines for authors and other relevant stakeholders are clearly accessible and understandable, in both print and electronic formats.
- Assignment for Peer Review:
Editors are responsible for assigning manuscripts to appropriate reviewers and ensuring that all review materials, as well as the review process and its guidelines, are clearly communicated to the reviewers.
- Objectivity and Neutrality:
Editors must carry out their editorial responsibilities with objectivity, neutrality, and integrity, without discrimination based on gender, commercial interests, ethnicity, race, social group, or nationality or the author(s).
- Confidentiality:
Editors are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all information, particularly that which concerns the privacy of authors and the distribution of their manuscripts.
- Disclosure of Conflict of Interest:
Editors must be fully aware of and adhere to the ethical standards of academic publishing to avoid potential conflict of interest with any party, thereby ensuring a smooth and ethical publication process.
Reviewer Ethics
- Objectivity and Neutrality:
Reviewers must conduct their assessments with honesty, objectivity, impartiality, and independence, prioritizing only the pursuit of scientific truth. The manuscript evaluation process must be carried our profesionally and without discrimination based on gender, commercial interests, ethnicity, religion, race, social group, or nationality of the author(s).
- Accuracy of References:
Reviewers are responsible for ensuring that all sources and citations within the maniuscript are appropriate, accurate, and derived from credible references. If any inaccuracies or irregularities are identified in the referencing or citation practices, the reviewer must promptly inform the editorial team so that necessary corrections can be made by the author in accordance with the reviewer's comments.
- Peer Review Timeliness:
Reviewers are expected to respond to manuscript review requests promptly and to complete their evaluations within the designated peer-review period (a maximum of two weeks). If additional time is required, reviewers must inform and request an extension from the editorial office without delay.
- Disclosure of Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must be fully aware of and adhere to the principles of publication ethics to avoid any potential conflicts of interest with other parties, thereby supporting a transparent and ethical publication process.
Journal Management Ethics
- Decision-Making:
Journal managers and the editorial board must clearly articulate the journal's mission and objectives, particularly with regard to the formulation of policies and publication decisions. These decisions must be made independently and free from any vested interests.
- Editorial Independence:
Journal managers must endure the editorial and review teams are granted full autonomy in carryinng our their responsibilities, fostering a professional and respectful working environment, and upholding the privacy of authors.
- Protection and Promotion:
Journal managers are responsible for safeguarding and upholding intellectual property rights (copyright), as well as ensuring transparency in the management of any third-party funding. Additionally, they must actively disseminate and promote published works to the broader public, ensuring the utility and accessibility of published content.
- Disclosure of Conflict of Interest:
Journal managers must observe established standards of publication ethics to prevent conflict of interest with any parties, thereby ensuring an ethical, transparent, and smooth publication process.

Since 2018, the formatting and style guidelines for Wahana Matematika dan Sains: Jurnal Matematika, Sains, dan Pembelajarannya, have undergone significant changes, which are reflected in the updated article template.
Article Processing Charges
Beginning in 2024, a publication fee is applied to accepted articles in Wahana Matematika dan Sains: Jurnal Matematika, Sains, dan Pembelajarannya, amounting to IDR 500.000 for general public (lecturer/scientist) and IDR 400.000 for students (with valid student identification).
