This research is a qualitative type with a research design approach, namely a case study. The study involved 4 primary subjects with the characteristics of mothers of children in the age range of 5-6 years. The purpose of this study is to analyze the habitual activities of parents in providing assistance to children, efforts to form a communication relationship with children, to the impact on the use of gadgets. Data collection using the questionnaire method with google forms, interviews and documentation which are then analysed with a qualitative approach. The results show that parents play an important role in assistance starting from granting permission to use, monitoring, to providing a safe duration/time. This research found that parents are overwhelmed to fulfill the assistance authority due to various factors: (1) busy parents are overcome by giving gadgets to children; (2) limited knowledge of the introduction of safe gadgets; (3) the characteristics of children who are already comfortable with gadgets; (4) the belief that the need for gadgets is not a bad thing, but rather a single solution to various problems including child development (e.g. gadgets help increase the vocabulary of children with speech delays). Meanwhile, the lack of assistance from parents results in excessive use of gadgets. The government implements the Merdeka Curriculum to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources globally. The aim of the Merdeka Curriculum is to expand the flexibility and adaptive capacity of teachers. There are obstacles in its implementation due to the limited resource capacity of public elementary schools. Some of the obstacles are teacher readiness, facilities, and curriculum evaluation. This research assesses the readiness of teachers to implement the Merdeka Curriculum at elementary school. Data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling technique through interviews with grade 1 and 4 teachers who understood the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum well. The results show that the learning process is coordinated and the teachers have prepared the design and learning media well. Supporting facilities such as teaching materials, learning videos, and school support smooth learning. However, an obstacle was found as an empirical finding that some teachers had difficulty adjusting students' skill levels considering the extent of the material and the implications of the pandemic. Several solutions to improve curriculum implementation include detailed material explanations, experience sharing, ongoing training, and regular evaluations.</p> 2023-11-06T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Nabila Asti Sephiawardani https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPP/article/view/67829 Paradigms, Limitations, Opportunities, and Challenges of E-Sports in Indonesia 2024-01-10T04:41:25+00:00 Nico Fadila Rahman niconc.nn@gmail.com Anton Komaini antonkomaini@fik.unp.ac.id Asep Sujana Wahyuri asepsw.unp@gmail.com Eri Barlian e.barlian@fik.unp.ac.id Rahmi Muthia rahmimuthia@nrs.unand.ac.id Fiky Zarya fikyzarya160416@gmail.com <p>The development of increasingly advanced technology certainly also affects developments in the world of sports. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use and opinion of IT for communication and learning of students with hearing impairment in hearing impairment schools. IT in this study includes information devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, and tablets. This study used a stratified random sampling method to register the participants. Data were collected from 56 students with hearing loss using a self-administered questionnaire. The results found that most of these students knew about chat applications, for example, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, and face-to-face conversation applications. Furthermore, most of these students contact people with hearing problems by sending messages via Facebook, Line apps, and face-to-face. The main reason why they use IT is for convenience and general conversation. A study of opinions on the use of IT by students with hearing impairment found that most of them agreed that IT devices contributed to their participation in various activities, including conversations with their relatives and friends on social networks.</p> 2023-11-06T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Wagino, Sujarwanto , Fairus Niratama https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/JPP/article/view/65799 Psychomotor Skills-Self Renewal Capacity of Students with the PACE Model based on Project Based Learning 2024-01-10T04:43:32+00:00 Yuliawati Yunus yuliawati_yunus@upiyptk.ac.id Suparmi mimiesuparmi7@gmail.com Silky Safira silkysafira@upiyptk.ac.id Renny Permata Saputri renny_permata@upiyptk.ac.id Monica Fransisca monicafransisca@upiyptk.ac.id <p>Psychomotor abilities in students' self renewal capacity are still low in competence in practicing MySQL databases so it is estimated that students have problems in completing the final assignment project in object oriented programming courses. This study aims to improve students' psychomotor abilities in completing their final project through the implementation of the use of the PACE model based on project based learning. PACE is a learning model based on constructiveness with phases: Project, Activity, Cooperative Learning and Exercise, this model is suitable to be combined with project based learning to increase students' self renewal capacity in doing programming practice. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. There were 23 students of the Informatics Engineering Education study program as the subject of this research. The results showed that the average score of students' psychomotor skills is 81,2% with very good criteria. Then Self renewal capacity shows a percentage of 71.7% with good criteria.
