PERAN DAN FUNGSI PANTI SOSIAL TRESNA WERDHA JARA MARA PATI BULELENG, BALI DALAM PEMBERIAN LAYANAN KEPADA LANSIA (Potensinya Sebagai Sumber Belajar Sosiologi SMA Kelas X)

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) faktor-faktor yang melatar belakangi lansia berada di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Jara Mara Pati, (2) mengetahui pelayanan yang di berikan panti sosial kepada lansia, dan (3)aspek di panti sosial yang dapat di gunakan sebagai sumber belajar sosiologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Narasumber penelitian ini terdiri dari Koordinator panti sosial, staf panti sosial, dan lansia. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa wawancara, observasi, serta studi dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat 3 faktor yang menyebabkan lansia berada di panti sosial antara lain faktor ekonomi, sosial, dan usia. Tingkat ekonomi yang rendah membuat lansia tidak dapat menghidupi diri sendiri. Keadaan lingkungan sekitar yang membuat lansia merasa tidak nyaman membuat lansia tidak dapat beradaptasi dikarenakan usia yang semakin tua. Hal ini membuat lansia memilih tinggal di panti sosial. (2) Pelayanan yang di berikan panti sosial berupa pemberian tempat tinggal, makan, pakaian, pemeliharaan kesehatan, bimbingan keagamaan, rekreasi dan pengurusan pemakaman. (3) Keberadaan lansia di panti sosial kemudian dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar. Aspek yang dapat di pelajari dari panti sosial antara lain aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor

The purpose of this research was (1) to know the underlying factors of the elderly at Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Jara Mara (2) to know the service that were given by instution to elderly, and (3) to know the aspects in social institution that could be used as a sourceto learn sociology. The research was designed in the form of descriptive qualitative approach.The subjects of this study werethe coordinator of the social instution, staff of social institution, and elderly at social intution. The data were collected through interviewing, observing, and document studies. Data analysis was done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The results showed that (1) there were 3 factors that caused elderly to be in social institution such as economic, social, and age. Low economic made the elderly could not support themselves to live. The situations of surrounding environment made elderly felt uncomfortable consequently they were able not adaptsince they were getting older. This made the elderly chose to live in a social home. (2) Services that were provided by social institutions such as providing shelter, meals, clothing, health care, religious guidance, recreation and funeral management. (3) The existence of elderly in the social instutionwas used as a source of learning. The aspects that could be learned from social institutions were cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.
