Persepsi Siswa tentang Guru Sosiologi yang Ideal (Studi Kasus di SMA Kota Singaraja, Bali)

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini ialah (1) mengidentifikasi faktor yang melatarbelakangi adanya guru-guru pengajar sosiologi yang memiliki kualifikasi non pendidikan sosiologi, (2) menggali persepsi siswa tentang guru yang memiliki kualifikasi non pendidikan sosiologi, (3) mengkaji persepsi siswa tentang guru sosiologi yang ideal. Penelitian ini menggunkanan metode campuran yang memadukan bentuk kualitatif dan bentuk kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian yakni di SMA N 1 Singaraja, SMA N 4 Singaraja, SMA Lab Undiksha, dan SMA Dwijendra Singaraja. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) faktor yang melatarbelakangi adanya guru-guru pengajar sosiologi yang memiliki kualifikasi non pendidikan sosiologi ialah tuntutan kurikulum, ketersediaan guru sosiologi yang langka, dan kebijakan dari Kepala Sekolah. (2) persepsi siswa tentang guru-guru sosiologi yang memiliki kualifikasi non pendidikan sosiologi dalam kategori cukup baik, (3) perolehan persepsi tentang guru sosiologi yang ideal, yakni memahami peserta didik secara mendalam, merancang pembelajaran, memahami landasan pendidikan, mengembangkan potensi peserta didik, menguasai substansi keilmuan, menguasai struktur dan metode keilmuan, mampu memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pemebelajaran, mengorganisasikan materi kurikulum bidang studi, memiliki kepribadian yang mantap dan stabil, dewasa, arif, berwibawa, berakhlak mulia, menjadi tauladan serta mampu berkomunikasi secara efektif.

The purpose of this identication factors behind the existence of sociology teaching teachers who have non-sociology education qualifications, (2) explore of students' perceptions of sociology teachers who have non-sociological education qualifications, (3) the perception of ideal sociology teachers study is to examine students' perceptions of ideal sociology teachers. This study applied mixed method that combines qualitative and quantitative forms. The research locations were in Singaraja N 1 High School, Singaraja High School 4, Undiksha Lab High School, and Dwijendra Singaraja High School. The results of the study show that: (1) the factors behind the existence of sociology teaching teachers who have non-sociology education qualifications are curriculum’s demands, the scarce availability of sociology teachers, and the policies of the Principal. (2) students' perceptions of sociology teachers who have non-sociological education qualifications in a fairly good category, (3) the perception of ideal sociology teachers, namely in depth understanding of the learners, design learning, understanding the foundation of education, developing the learners’ potential, mastery over the scientific aspects, mastering the scientific structure and methodology, capable of utilizing technology in learning-teaching process, capable of organizing curriculum material in the field of study, having steady and stable personality, mature, wise, respectable, of noble character, capable of being a role model and being able to communicate effectively
