Pengembangan Sistem Autentikasi Hotspot Terpusat Berbasis Teknologi Web Service Di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan login ke internet hotspot Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha dengan satu user saja, user dalam hal ini adalah user SSO (single sign On). Sistem autentikasi hotspot berbasis radius server membutuhkan user id dan password untuk terkoneksi ke jaringan wireless. Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha sudah memiliki beberapa sistem informasi sendiri di mana setiap mahasiswa dan dosen memiliki user id dan password masing-masing untuk login ke sistem informasi. Masalah muncul ketika dalam pengembangan sistem autentikasi hotspot berbasis radius server perlu beroperasi dengan menggunakan data tersebut. Sistem informasi yang dimiliki Undiksha dan sistem autentikasi memiliki database masing-masing dengan struktur database dan platform struktur pemrograman yang berbeda. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan satu user dan password untuk mengakses internet hotspot yang tersinkronisasi secara realtime dengan sistem-sistem yang sudah ada di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuat sistem autentikasi hotspot terpusat di lingkungan Universitas Pendidikan Ganehsa yang memanfaatkan web services untuk mensinkronkan data pengguna hotspot dengan data user pada sistem sistem yang sudah dikembangkan Undiksha. Penelitian ini menggunakan sistem autentikasi hotspot berbasis radius server, MySQL, php, dan mikrotik billing, dan script web service menggunakan aplikasi php dan json (JavaScript Object Notation) untuk mensinkronkan data pengguna hotspot dengan data pengguna di sistem informasi yang sudah ada.
