This research aimed to improve the activity and result of learning the basic techniques of passing a volleyball through the implementation of cooperative learning model type STAD. This research was a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, which consists of a plan of action, action, observation / evaluation and reflection. The subjects were students of class 10 SMA Negeri 1 Seririt 5 in academic year 2017/2018, in total 32 students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the analysis of classical learning activity data obtained at the initial observation 5.8 (quite active) and increased in the first cycle to 75 (active) and the second cycle increased, namely 81,78 (active). As for the analysis of classical learning completeness percentage at 9,375% (complete) reaching 75% (complete). In the second cycle increased learning outcomes which reached 100% (complete). It can be concluded that the activities and results to learn the basic techniques of passing the volleyball increased through the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD in class 10 SMA Negeri 1 Seririt 5 in Academic Year 2017/2018. Recommended to teachers penjasorkes to apply STAD cooperative learning model because it can increase the activity and results of learning the basic techniques of passing the volleyball.
