PENERAPAN METODE PEMBERIAN TUGAS BERBANTUAN MEDIA KOTAK MATEMATIKA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dalam mengelompokkan bentuk geometri setelah diterapkan metode pemberian tugas berbantuan media kotak matematika pada anak kelompok B semester II tahun pelajaran 203/2014 di PAUD Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 17 orang anak kelompok B PAUD Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Variabel penelitian ini adalah kemampuan kognitif dalam mengelompokkan bentuk geometri dan metode pemberian tugas berbantuan media kotak matematika. Untuk mengumpulkan data digunakan metode observasi. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa penerapan metode pemberian tugas berbantuan media kotak matematika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dalam mengelompokkan bentuk geometri mengurutkan angka pada anak kelompok B Semester II Tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di PAUD Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata persen kemampuan kognitif dalam mengelompokkan bentuk geometri pada siklus I sebesar 67,05% (cukup) menjadi sebesar 88,10% (tinggi) pada siklus II. Jadi terjadi peningkatan belajar sebesar 21,05%.Kata Kunci : metode pemberian tugas berbantuan media kotak matematika, kemampuan kognitif mengelompokkan bentuk geometri
This study aimed at finding out the improvement of cognitive ability in grouping geometrical form after the method of giving task with matematical box media implemented to students in group B semester II in academic year 2013/2014 in Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha Kindergarten. The design of the present study was classroom action research with two cycles. The subjects of the study were 17 students of group B in Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha Kindergarten semester II in academic year 2013/2014. The variable of the study was cognitive ability in grouping geometrical form after the method of giving task with matematical box media. In order to collect the data, observation method was used. Data collected was analyzed by using descriptive statistics method. The result of the study showed that the implementation of the method of giving task with matematical box media can improve cognitive ability in grouping geometrical form ordering numbers of the students in group B semester II in academic year 2013/2014 in Sutha Kertya Banjar Tegeha Kindergarten. It can be observed from the average of cognitive ability in grouping geometrical form in cycle I about 67,05% (sufficient) became 88,10% (high) in cycle II. There was an improvement about 21.05%.
