PENGGUNAAN ADVERTORIAL DI TV UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PARAGRAF PERSUASI SISWA KELAS X UPW DI SMK NEGERI 2 BANGLI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang efektif melalui penggunaan advertorial di TV untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf persuasi di kelas X UPW SMK Negeri 2 Bangli, (2) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis paragraf persuasi siswa kelas X UPW SMK Negeri 2 Bangli setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi dengan menggunakan advertorial di TV, dan (3) mengetahui respons siswa kelas X UPW di SMK Negeri 2 Bangli terhadap penggunaan advertorial di TV dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X UPW SMK Negeri 2 Bangli. Objek penelitian ini adalah langkah-langkah pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi, kemampuan menulis paragraf persuasi siswa, dan respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, tes, dan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan advertorial di TV dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf persuasi (1) dilakukan melalui beberapa langkah sesuai dengan perencanaan pembelajaran yang sudah dirancang oleh peneliti dan guru, (2) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf persuasi, dan (3) direspons positif oleh siswa.Kata Kunci : advertorial di TV, paragraf persuasi, dan menulis
This study aimed to (1) describe the steps for effective learning through the use of Advertorial on TV to improve the ability to write persuasive paragraph in tenth grade UPW SMK Negeri 2 Bangli, (2) find out the increase of students' writing ability of tenth grade UPW at SMK Negeri 2 Bangli after participating in learning to write persuasive paragraph using the advertorial on TV, (3) determine the response of students of tenth grade UPW at SMK Negeri 2 Bangli upon the use of TV advertorial in learning to write persuasive paragraph. The study was conducted using classroom action research design (CAR). The subject was students of tenth grade UPW SMK Negeri 2 Bangli and the objects were the steps in learning to write persuasive paragraph, students' writing skill in persuasive paragraph and their response toward learning to write persuasive paragraph. The data collection used were observation method, test and questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicated that the use of advertorial on TV in learning to write persuasive paragraph (1) was conducted through several steps based on the lesson plan which had been designed by the researcher and the teacher, (2) the strategy enabled the students to improve their skill in writing persuasive paragraph and (3) it provided positive response from the students.
