PEMBERITAAN GUBERNUR BALI, MANGKU PASTIKA, DALAM SURAT KABAR BALI POST: ANALISIS STRATEGI EKSKLUSI-INKLUSI THEO VAN LEEUWEN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan strategi eksklusi dalam media Bali Post pada pemberitaan Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika dan (2) mendeskripsikan strategi inklusi dalam media Bali Post pada pemberitaan Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika. Penelitian dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan berita seputar Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika yang dimuat dalam surat kabar Bali Post sebagai subjek penelitian. Lingkup penelitian ini hanya pada berita Bali Post yang memuat sosok Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika yang dimuat sejak tanggal 19 September 2011 sampai 21 Juli 2012. Sementara itu, objek penelitian ini adalah strategi eksklusi-inklusi yang digunakan Bali Post dalam memberitakan Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dengan teknik baca-catat. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif mengikuti teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Bali Post menggunakan strategi eksklusi dalam memberitakan gubernur, dengan uraian: 55 pasivasi (85%); 9 nominalisasi (14%); dan 1 penggantian anak kalimat (1%); serta (2) Bali Post menggunakan strategi inklusi dalam memberitakan gubernur, dengan uraian: 11 diferensiasi (20%); 6 abstraksi (11%); 4 kategorisasi (7%); 21 identifikasi (38%); 6 asimilasi (11%); dan 7 asosiasi (13%).Kata Kunci : pemberitaan Gubernur Bali, Mangku Pastika; Bali Post; eksklusi; inklusi
This study aimed to (1) describe the strategy of exclusion in the Bali Post news media about the Governor of Bali, Mangku Pastika and (2) describe the strategy of inclusion in the Bali Post news media regarding Governor of Bali, Mangku Pastika. This research was designed using descriptive qualitative about the news of the Governor of Bali, Mangku Pastika, as the research subject. The scope of this study was only the news in Bali Post contained the figure of the Governor of Bali, Mangku Pastika which were published since September 19, 2011 to July 21, 2012. Meanwhile, the object of this study was the exclusion-inclusion strategy used in the Bali Post in reporting the Governor of Bali, Mangku Pastika. The data collection method used was the documentation method particularly the read-notes technique. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis technique according to Miles and Huberman’s technique analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) Bali Post proved using exclusion strategy in reporting the governor, with the description: 55 passivations (85%); 9 nominalizations (14%); and 1 replacement of subordinate clause (1%); and (2) Bali Post proved using inclusion strategies in reporting the governor, with the description: 11 differentiations (20%); 6 abstractions (11%); 4 categorizations (7%); 21 identifications (38%); 6 assimilations (11%); and 7 associations (13%).
