KESANTUNAN IMPERATIF TUTURAN GURU UNTUK MEMOTIVASI SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 1 SINGARAJA

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan teknik-teknik motivasi yang diterapkan guru, (2) mendeskripsikan wujud imperatif tuturan guru untuk memotivasi siswa, dan (3) mendeskripsikan tingkat kesantunan imperatif tuturan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia kelas VII dan objeknya adalah teknik-teknik motivasi yang diterapkan guru, wujud imperatif tuturan guru untuk memotivasi siswa, dan tingkat kesantunan imperatif tuturan guru untuk memotivasi siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan perekaman. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu (1) teknik-teknik motivasi yang diterapkan guru adalah pernyataan penghargaan secara verbal, memanfaatkan kewibawaan guru secara tepat, menggunakan materi yang dikenal siswa sebagai contoh dalam belajar, mengembangkan persaingan dengan diri sendiri, memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk memperlihatkan kemahirannya di depan umum, menuntut siswa untuk menggunakan hal-hal yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya, menggunakan nilai ulangan sebagai pemacu keberhasilan; (2) wujud imperatif tuturan guru untuk memotivasi siswa adalah wujud imperatif permintaan, wujud imperatif bujukan, wujud imperatif persilaan, wujud imperatif ajakan, wujud imperatif larangan, wujud imperatif mengizinkan, wujud imperatif suruhan, dan wujud imperatif imbauan; dan (3) tingkat kesantunan imperatif tuturan guru untuk memotivasi siswa adalah dari 38 tuturan, 36 atau 95% tuturan santun, 1 atau 2,5% tuturan kurang santun, dan 1 atau 2,5% tuturan tidak santun. Oleh karena itu, penulis berharap agar guru bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja menerapkan kesantunan imperatif untuk memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sesuai dengan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini.Kata Kunci : kesantunan imperatif, tuturan guru, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.
This study aimed at (1) describing the motivating techniques that were implemented by the teacher. (2) describing the imperative form of speech used by the teacher to motivate the students, and (3) describing the imperative politeness level of the teacher. This study was a descriptive qualitative study. The subject was a teacher who teaches Bahasa Indonesia in VII grade while the object was the motivating techniques in the form of imperative speech used by the teacher to motivate the students. The methods of data collection used in this study were observation and recording. The data was analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study were (1) the motivating techniques implemented by the teacher are verbal reinforcement, making use the teacher’s charisma appropriately, using the familiar material as the learning example, developing the competition within one’s self, giving opportunity to the students to show their mastery in front of many people, demanding the students to implement the lesson they have learned, using the test score as the motivation to reach success; (2) the imperative form of teacher’s speech to motivate the students was in the form of asking, assuring, letting, inviting, forbidding, giving permission, demanding and in the form of suggesting; and (3) the imperative politeness level of teacher’s speech to motivate the students consisted of 38 speech, 36 or 95% polite speech, 1 or 25% less polite speech and 1 or 25% impolite speech. Due to the result of the study, the writers expect the teacher’s of bahasa Indonesia at SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja can implement the imperative politeness to motivate the students in teaching and learning process of bahasa Indonesia.
