PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SAVI MELALUI PENGGUNAAN OBJEK LANGSUNG DAN KARTU KATA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PARAGRAF DESKRIPSI PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPB 1 DI SMA N 1 SAWAN

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui dapat tidaknya penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi pada siswa kelas XI SMA IPB 1 Negeri 1 Sawan, (2) mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi, dan (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata dalam keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas XI IPB 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil, aktivitas siswa, dan respons siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes, observasi, angket/kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) tercapainya ketuntasan hasil belajar menulis paragraf deskripsi siswa berkat diterapkannya model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata, yakni pada siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata 75,86, sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 80,55, (2) siswa terlihat aktif dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran, dan (3) siswa sangat setuju terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan penggunaan objek langsung dan kartu kata dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf deskripsi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti lain disarankan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran SAVI pada mata pelajaran yang lain.Kata Kunci : SAVI, objek langsung, kartu kata, paragraf deskripsi.
Classroom Action Research (CAR) was aims to (1) determine whether or not the application of the SAVI learning model with the direct object and word cards improve the writing skills of a paragraph description in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sawan IPB 1, (2) determibe the activity of the students in the application of the SAVI learning model with the use of the direct object and word cards in an effort to improve the skills of writing a paragraph description, and (3) describe the respons of the students in the application of the SAVI learning model with the use of direct object and word cards in the description of paragraph writing skills. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of class XI IPB 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan. Object of this study was the increasing of the result, student activities, and student responses in the application of the SAVI learning model with the use of direct object and word cards. Data collections methods that used in this study was a method of testing, observation, questionnaire, and interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The result of this study were (1) the achievement of mastery of learning outcomes students to write a paragraph description because the implementation of the SAVI learning model with the use of direct object and word cards, namely the first cycle gained an average score of 75,86, while in the second cycle the average value of the students was 80,55, (2) students were active in carrying out learning activities, and (3) students strongly greed to the application of the SAVI learning model with the use of direct object and word cards in learning to write a paragraph description. Based on these results, other researchers suggersted to apply the learning model on the other subjects.
