PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) BERBANTUAN MEDIA ULAR-TANGGA EDUKATIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI SISWA KELAS VII 15 SMPN 2 SINGARAJA

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah yang ditempuh untuk mengimplentasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media ular-tangga edukatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII 15 SMPN 2 Singaraja (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII 15 SMPN 2 Singaraja dalam menulis teks eksposisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media ular-tangga edukatif, (3) medeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran ini. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII 15 SMPN 2 Singaraja yang berjumlah 36 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat beberapa langkah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media ular-tangga edukatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII 15 SMPN 2 Singaraja dalam menulis teks eksposisi. Langkah-langkah tersebut menekankan pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi dengan siswa diajak untuk memahami kaidah-kaidah teks eksposisi melalui permainan ular-tangga edukatif. Pembelajaran ini disesuaikan dengan karakteristik Kurikulum 2013 yang menekankan pada aspek mengamati, menanyakan, mengasosiasikan, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan. (2) Ada peningkatan skor siswa yang sebelumnya yakni pada pratindakan skor rata-rata klasikal 67, siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata klasikal 77, sedangkan pada siklus II skor rata-rata secara klasikal menjadi 89. (3) Siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat positif terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media ular-tangga edukatif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi.Kata Kunci : teks eksposisi, kooperatif, TGT, ular-tangga edukatif.
This classroom action research aimed at (1) describing the steps of implementing teams games tournament (TGT) as the type of cooperative learning model using educative snake-ladder media in improving students' achievement in writing exposition text for VII 15 students of SMPN 2 Singaraja, (2) describing the learning achievement of VII 15 students of SMPN 2 singaraja in writing exposition text through the implementation of Teams Games Tournament as cooperative learning model using educative snake-ladder media, (3) describing the students' response toward this type of learning. The subject of this study was the VII 15 students of SMPN 2 Singaraja, that was about 36 students. The methods of data collection of this study were observation, test, questioner and interview. The data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative technique. The result of this study were (1) there were some steps of implementing teams games tournament (TGT) as the type of cooperative learning model using educative snake-ladder media in improving students' achievement in writing exposition text for VII 15 students of SMPN 2 Singaraja. The steps focused on the learning exposition text by inviting the students to understand the nature of exposition text through educative snake-ladder game. This learning was based on the characteristics of Curriculum 2013 which concerned on the aspect of observing, questioning, associating, trying, and communicating. (2) there was students' improving score in which the mean score of pre-treatment was 67, the mean score of first cycle was 77, and the mean score of second cycle was 89. (3) Students gave very positive response toward the implementation of Teams Games Tournament as cooperative learning model using educative snake-ladder media in writing exposition text.
