PENERAPAN LINEAR PROGRAMMING SEBAGAI UPAYA OPTIMALISASI DISTRIBUSI PRODUK MUFFIN CUP CAKE PADA PERUSAHAAN SURYA CAKE DI GIANYAR TAHUN 2013

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) alokasi produk muffin cup cake dan biaya distribusi pada Perusahaan Surya Cake. (2) alokasi produk dan biaya distribusi jika menerapkan linear programming pada Perusahaan Surya Cake, serta (3) dampak terhadap harga jual produk jika menerapkan linear programming. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode dokumentasi dan metode wawancara yang dianalisis dengan linear programming metode distribusi tipe modified distribution method (MODI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) alokasi distribusi produk hanya berdasarkan pada waktu pemesanan produk oleh pelanggan, dengan biaya distribusi yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan pada periode Januari-Juni sebesar Rp 20.766.165 dan periode Juli-Desember sebesar Rp 26.473.810, (2) alokasi produk pada perusahaan Surya Cake tahun 2013 setelah menerapkan linear programming berdampak pada perubahan alokasi produk yang mengakibatkan biaya distribusi yang dikeluarkan perusahaan lebih sedikit pada periode Januari-Juni biaya distribusi yang dikeluarkan perusahaan sebesar Rp19.625.875,00 dan periode Juli-Desember sebesar Rp 25.374.890,00, dan (3) dampak terhadap harga jual produk jika menerapkan linear programming dapat dilihat dari penurunan biaya total yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan. Harga jual produk sebelum menerapkan linear programming pada periode Januari-Juni Rp900,00/biji sedangkan periode Juli-Desember Rp 1.000,00/biji. Setelah menerapkan linear programming harga jual produk periode Januari-Juni Rp729,66/biji sedangkan periode Juli-Desember Rp747,58/biji Berdasarkan hasil tersebut perusahaan perlu melakukan perbaikan dari jumlah alokasi distribusi produk, biaya distribusi serta harga jual produk.

The aims of this study were to know (1) the product allocation of muffin cup cake and disrtibution cost of Surya Cake Company, (2) product allocation and distribution cost if linear programming was implemented in Surya Cake company, as well as (3) the effect of linear programming on selling price of product. This study was descriptive quantitative research. Data on this study were collected through documentation and interview which were analyzed by using linear programming with distribution method type modified distribution method (MODI). The result of this study showed that (1) distribution of product allocation was only based on product ordering time done by customer with distribution cost Rp 20.766.165 on period of January-June and Rp 26.473.810 on period of July-December, (2) the implementation of linear programming gave effect on product allocation changes and it gave impact to the distribution cost in 2013, in which the distribution cost decreased into Rp19.625.875,00 on periode of January-June and Rp 25.374.890,00 on periode of July December, (3) the effect on selling price when linear programming was implemented could be seen on the decrease of overall cost spent by the company. Before implementing linear programming selling prices of the product were Rp 900,00/item on period of January-June and Rp 1.000,00/item on period of July-December. After implementing the linear programming, the selling price decreased into Rp 729,66/item on period of January-June and Rp747,58/item on period of July-December. Based on that result, the company need to do remedial or correction in terms of total allocation of product distribution, distribution cost, and selling price of product.
