ANALISIS IKLIM KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI (STUDI KASUS PADA UMA SRI HOTEL BADUNG)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) iklim komunikasi organisasi pada Uma Sri Hotel, (2) faktor penyebab terjadinya masalah dalam iklim komunikasi organisasi pada Uma Sri Hotel, dan (3) upaya untuk menanggulangi masalah iklim komunikasi organisasi pada Uma Sri Hotel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah manajer umum dan seluruh karyawan Uma Sri Hotel yang berjumlah 31 orang. Sedangkan objek dari penelitian ini adalah iklim komunikasi yang terjadi pada Uma Sri Hotel. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) iklim komunikasi organisasi yang berlangsung pada Uma Sri Hotel masih mengalami permasalahan, (2) penyebab terjadinya masalah iklim komunikasi organisasi pada Uma Sri Hotel yaitu minimnya komunikasi antara atasan dan karyawan, miss communication berkaitan dengan job description antara karyawan lama dan karyawan baru, dan miss communication berkaitan dengan schedule kerja dan libur karyawan, (3) upaya menanggulangi masalah iklim komunikasi organisasi adalah atasan lebih intensif dalam menjalin komunikasi kepada seluruh karyawan yang ada di perusahaan, memberikan briefing kepada seluruh karyawan guna menumbuhkan komunikasi yang lebih baik dan meningkatkan teamwork di dalam bekerja, dan lebih mempertegas peraturan dan aktualisasinya yang terkait dengan pembuatan schedule kerja dan libur karyawan yang ada di perusahaan.

This research aim to knows (1) climate of organizational communication at Uma Sri Hotel, (2) the caused of climate problems in organizational communication at Uma Sri Hotel, and (3) the efforts to address the problems of organizational communication at Uma Sri Hotel. This research is a case study. The subjects of this research is general manager and all of the employees that numbered 31 peoples. While the object of this research is the climate of organizational communication at Uma Sri Hotel. Data collected by observation, interview, documentation, and analyzed use qualitative descriptive. The results showed that (1) climate of organizational communication that occurs at Uma Sri Hotel still have problems, (2) the causing problem in climate of organizational communication at Uma Sri Hotel is less communication between manager and employees, miss communication be related job description between senior employees and junior employees, and miss communication be related of work schedule or holiday of employees, (3) attempts to address the problem of climate organizational communication is doing intensive communication by manager, give briefing to all employees to grow up good communication and increase teamwork, and confirm the rule of employees schedule.
