POTENSI MANGROVE WONOREJO PAMURBAYA SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR GEOGRAFI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA

Abstrak

Dekade terakhir ini, keberlanjutan ekosistem mangrove dipertanyakan padahal menyimpan jutaan potensi dan manfaat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi mangrove wonorejo, pantai timur Surabaya (Pamurbaya) dari segi geografis, sosiologis, dan ekonomis. Analisa potensi yang ada diharapkan mampu menjadi destinasi wisata yang edukatif, rekreatif, dan memberikan dampak ekonomis bagi masyarakat. Peran siswa dalam pemberdayaan lingkungan bisa dilakukan sebagai bentuk implementasi pembelajaran ke lapangan untuk menciptakan daya kreativitas. Guru dapat menerapkan berbagai model pembelajaran terkait lingkungan mangrove dan ekosistemnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Pengamatan dilakukan kondisi geografis, sosiologis, dan ekonomis mangrove Wonorejo yang bisa menunjang sumber belajar Geografi untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Sedangkan, parameter kreativitas siswa dilihat dari produk yang dihasilkan siswa untuk berhasil dalam belajar yang tertuang dalam LKPD. Data yang diperoleh akan diolah menggunakan analisa deskriptif kualitatif. Artikel ini menghasilkan potensi mangrove wonorejo, Pamurbaya yakni (1) geografis melalui kegiatan gerakan satu siswa satu pohon (Sawahon), (2) sosiologis melalui barcode education (Bardu), dan (3) ekonomis melalui coklat mangrove (Cokro) di kawasan hutan mangrove Pamurbaya. Pemberdayaan siswa merupakan gagasan inovatif sebagai wujud konservasi hutan agar tetap lestari.
