PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TSOI (TRANSLATING SCULPTING OPERATIONALIZING INTEGRATING) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematika antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran TSOI (Translating, Scupting, Operatinalizing, Integrating) lebih baik daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Adapun populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII non unggulan SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun ajaran 2013/2014, yaitu sebanyak 235 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematika yang berbentuk soal uraian dengan jumlah butir soal sebanyak enam butir. Data hasil tes pemahaman konsep matematika dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t satu ekor. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung=2,1206 dan nilai ttabel = 1,6747. Apabila dibandingkan nilai thitung > ttabel. Ini berarti bahwa siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran TSOI mempunyai pemahaman konsep matematika lebih baik daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci : TSOI, konvensional, pemahaman konsep matematika
This research is aimed to know whether mathematical concepts understanding between the students are learned with TSOI (Translating, Sculpting, Operationalizing, Integrating) learning model better than the students which are learned with conventional learning model. The research design used in this research is the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population in this research was all regular eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja in the academic year 2013/2014, as many as 235 people. The process of selecting the sample was done by a purposive random sampling technique. The data of mathematical concepts understanding were collected by six items of mathematical concept understanding test. The data of mathematical concept understanding were analyzed by using t-test one tail. The results showed that t0 observed=2,1206 and table = 1,6747. Therefore to observed is greater than table. So it can be concluded that the students who learned with the TSOI learning model have mathematical concepts understanding better than students who learned with conventional learning model,
