PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP TURUNAN SISWA KELAS XI PROGRAM KEAHLIAN TEHNIK KOMPUTER JARINGAN 3 MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING DI SMK NEGERI 3 SINGARAJA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep turunan siswa kelas XI TKJ 3 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja melalui penerapan model pembelajarn kooperatif tipe snowball throwing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang melibatkan subjek sebanyak 27 orang siswa kelas XI TKJ 3 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Data motivasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dan data pemahaman konsep turunan siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor motivasi belajar siswa dan pemahaman konsep turunan mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus III. Peningkatan optimal terjadi pada siklus III. Rata-rata skor motivasi belajar pada siklus III yaitu sebesar 77,81 dan tergolong tinggi. Rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep turunan siswa pada siklus III sebesar 73,1 telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan yaitu 70 karena KKM 70. Peningkatan optimal terjadi pada siklus III karena guru lebih memfokuskan cara menyelesaikan permasalahan aplikasi turunan dengan memperhatikan indikator-indikator pemahaman konsep, selanjutnya siswa juga diarahkan untuk mengidentifikasi materi dengan merangkum isi pokok dari materi, serta memberikan balikan dan penghargaan sehingga siswa lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.

This research aimed to improve learning motivation and understanding the concept of derivative in Student of Class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja through the implementation of cooperative learning model, with type of snowball throwing. This research model is a research in collaborative class action that which involves the subject of as many as 27 students of class XI TKJ 3 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja in the second semester of Academic Year 2015/2016. This research was conducted in three cycle. Student motivation data were collected using a questionnaire and students' understanding of concepts data derived using test understanding of the concept. Data that collected will be analyzed descriptively. Results of the research showed that the average score of student’s learning motivation and concept understanding increased from cycle I into cycle III. Optimal improvement occurs in the cycle III. The average score of student’s study motivation is 77,81. The average score of student’s understanding in concept of derivative is 73,1 in cycle III, and it has fulfilled success indicator, i.e. 70, for optimal KKM 70. Optional improvement occurs in cycle III for teacher focused way to solve derivative application problem by observing indicators of understanding the concept of derivative, then students are also directed to identify materials by summarizing the main content of the material, as well as provide feedback and reward so that students became more active in learning process.
