PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONSEPTUAL INTERAKTIF TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Konseptual Interaktif lebih baik daripada kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian post-test only control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sukawati tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan populasi sebanyak 366 siswa yang tersebar ke dalam 9 kelas. Sebelum sampel diambil, dilakukan uji penyetaraan dengan Uji Anava Satu Jalur terhadap populasi tersebut menggunakan nilai raport. Setelah diperoleh bahwa populasi tersebut setara maka dipilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel penelitian dengan teknik random sampling. Data kemampuan koneksi matematis dikumpulkan dengan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis berupa tes uraian yang telah valid dan reliable setelah diujicobakan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Uji-t dengan melakukan uji prasyarat berupa Uji Normalitas dengan Uji Chi-Square dan Uji Homogenitas dengan Uji-F. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Konseptual Interaktif lebih baik dibandingkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division).

The purpose of this study was to know what students’ mathematical connection ability that followed interactive conceptual instruction learning model better than students’ mathematical connection ability that followed cooperative instruction learning model STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type. This experiment is quasi experiment which use post-test only control group design experiment plan. The research was conducted at the 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sukawati in the academic year 2013/2014 with 366 population number who divided into 9 classes. Before we take the sample, similarity test was done by One Way ANAVA test to the population using report score. After known that the population was similar then chosen 2 classes as experiment sample by random sampling technique. The data of mathematical connection ability was gathered by mathematical connection ability test such as essay which has valid and reliable after trialed. Data analysis was done by T-test with by doing prerequisite test such as Normality Test by Chi-Square Test and Homogeneity Test by F-test. The result of hypothesis test show that students’ mathematical connection ability which learned by interactive conceptual instruction learning model is better than students’ mathematical connection ability which learned by cooperative instruction learning model STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type. Therefore suggested to the mathematics teachers can implement interactive conceptual instruction learning model at class as one of the learning alternative which contextual.
