KEBERADAAN PURA TAMAN YEH SELEM DI DESA PANGKUNG PARUK, SERIRIT, BULELENG, BALI ( SEJARAH DAN KONTRIBUSINYA TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN KEARIFAN LOKAL )

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Sejarah berdirinya Pura Taman Yeh Selem di Desa Pangkung Paruk, Seririt, Buleleng, Bali; (2) Aspek-aspek yang mengandung nilai-nilai Kearifan Lokal; dan (3) Kontribusinya terhadap Pendidikan Kearifan Lokal, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan konsep pelestarian Hutan Yeh Selem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu: (1) teknik penentuan lokasi penelitian; (2) teknik penentuan informan; (3) teknik pengumpulan data (teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan teknik studi dokumen); dan (4) teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) pura Taman Yeh Selem merupakan pura Subak (ulun suwi) yang berada di dalam hutan Yeh Selem Desa Pangkung Paruk. Berdirinya Pura Taman Yeh Selem tidak dapat dilepaskan dari peristiwa bersejarah yakni revolusi fisik di Bali Utara, khususnya Buleleng Barat pada tahun 1945-1949 yang pada saat itu berpusat di Desa Ringdikit. selain itu erat pula kaitannya dengan kondisi hutan Yeh Selem, dimana pada masa revolusi fisik hutan Yeh Selem digunakan sebagai tempat persembunyian, dengan nama Markas Amerta. (2) Adapun aspek-aspek dari pura Taman Yeh Selem yang mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal antara lain bisa dilihat dari aspek; (a) sejarah; (b) lingkungan pura; (c) struktur pura; (d) benda-benda pura; dan (e) kepercayaan. (3) Pura Taman Yeh Selem memiliki kontribusi penting terhadap pendidikan kearifan lokal, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan konsep pelestarian Hutan Yeh Selem yakni; (a) kepercayaan hutan Yeh Selem sebagai milik dewa yang beristana di pura Taman Yeh Selem. Status kepemilikan hutan semacam ini merupakan kunci utama yang melatarbelakangi kelestarian hutan Yeh Selem. (b) adanya pengawasan desa pakraman Pangkung Paruk, mengingat hutan Yeh Selem adalah hutan desa; dan (c) adanya kesepakatan skala dan niskala.

This study aimed to determine (1) history of the founding of Taman Yeh Selem temple in Pangkung Paruk, Seririt, Buleleng, Bali, (2) the aspects containing the values of local wisdom, and (3) Local Wisdom contribution to education, especially with regard to the concept of Yeh Selem forest conservation. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods, namely : (1) determining the research location, (2) determination techniques of choosing informer, (3) data collection techniques (observation, interview techniques, and document study), and (4) data analysis techniques. Results of this study indicate that (1) Taman Yeh Selem Temple is Subak temple (Ulun Suwi) situated in the forest of Yeh Selem, Pangkung Paruk Village. Establishment of Pura Taman Yeh Selem can not be separated from the historical events of physical revolution in North Bali, Buleleng especially the West in 1945-1949 which at the time centered on the village of Ringdikit. But it is also closely related to Yeh Selem forest condition, where on the physical revolution Yeh Selem forest used as a hiding place, the name of Amerta Headquarters. (2) As for the aspects of the garden temple, Yeh Selem containing the values of local wisdom, among others, can be seen from the aspectof : (a) history; (b) the temple compound, (c) structur of the temple; (d) temple objects, and (e) believe. (3) Taman Yeh Selem temple had an important contribution to the education of local knowledge, especially with regard to the concept of forest conservation Yeh Selem, namely : (a) the believe that Yeh Selem forest as belonging to the God which stayed at the Taman Yeh Selem temple. Ownership status of such forests is a key underlying sustainability Yeh Selem. (b) the supervision Pakraman Pangkung Paruk, considering Yeh Selem forest is a forest village, and (c) a Sekala and Niskala agreement.
