Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 melalui penerapan model pembelajaraan kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT), (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT), (3) mengetahui tanggapan siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam pelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ialah (1) Penentuan Subjek Penelitian, (2) Membuat Rencana Tindakan, (3) Melaksanakan Tindakan, (4) Melakukan Observasi, (5) Evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar pada siklus I adalah 58,10 dengan kategori tinggi, meningkat dengan rata-rata pada siklus II menjadi 59,82 dengan kategori tinggi; (2) hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar pada siklus I mencapai rata-rata 67,34% dengan kategori sedang, serta ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 37,93% meningkat pada siklus II yaitu rata-rata hasil belajar sejarah siswa mencapai 80,34% dengan kategori tinggi, serta ketuntasan belajar mencapai 82,75%; (3) Tanggapan siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT), mencapai rata-rata 41,37 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar.

ABSTRACT This study aims to (1) determine the increase of student motivation in class XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar in the second semester of academic year 2013/2014 through the implementation of a model cooperative learning Teams Games Tournament (TGT), (2) determine the increase students' outcomes in learning process in class XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar in the second semester of academic year 2013/2014 through the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT), (3) determine the students' responses in class XI student IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar in the second semester of academic year 2013/2014 through the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in history. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The stages which are carried out of classroom action research (CAR) is (1) Determination of Research Subjects, (2) Creating an Action Plan, (3) Implement the action, (4) Conducting Observations, (5) Evaluation and Reflection. The results showed: (1) student motivation in class XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar in the first cycle was 58.10 with a high category, increased by an average of 59.82 on the second cycle into the high category; (2) students' outcomes in learning process in class XI IPS.4 SMA N 2 Banjar in the first cycle at an average of 67.34% with moderate category, as well as mastery learning students achieve 37.93% increase in the second cycle is an average of the results of learning history 80.34% of students achieve the higher categories, as well as mastery learning reaches 82.75%; (3) The students' response in class XI of SMA N 2 IPS.4 about the question of the application of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT), reaching an average of 41.37 with a high category. Based on the results of this research is known that the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) can enhance the students' learning motivation and learning outcomes of history class XI IPS.4 in SMA N 2 Banjar.
