Peningkatan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X Akuntansi SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja Terhadap Mata Pelajaran IPS Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Snowball Throwing Pada Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar IPS siswa setelah menggunakan metode snowball throwing pada siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja, (2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPS siswa setelah menggunakan metode snowball throwing pada siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja. (3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja terhadap penerapan metode snowball throwing. Dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini yang menjadi subjek adalah siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Objek penelitiannya adalah motivasi dan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini dengan metode observasi, metode tes, kuisioner dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dan analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut (1) motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I mendapatkan jumlah 1591 dengan rata-tara yang dicapai 63,44, terjadi peningkatan jumlah motivasi yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus II dengan jumlah yang dicapai 1786 dengan rata 71,44. Peningkatan motivasi dari siklus I ke siklus II adalah 195 dengan rata-rata peningkatan mencapai 7,8. (2) Hasil belajar yang siswa adalah 1782 dengan rata-rata 71,28% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar yang dicapai 48% pada siklus I. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yang diperoleh pada siklus II yakni dengan jumlah 2231 dengan rata-rata 89,24% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar yang dicapai 100%. (3) Hasil respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing terjadi pada siklus I, respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing yaitu 887 dengan pencapaian rata-rata 35,48. Terjadi peningkatan respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing pada siklus II yaitu 969 dengan pencapaian rata-rata 38,68. Jumlah peningkatan yang terjadi dari siklus I ke siklus II adalah sebesar 82 dengan pencapaian rata-rata sebesar 3,28. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka jawaban dari hipotesis tindakan yaitu (1) Model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing dapat berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien sehingga motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial meningkat tinggi. (2) Model pembelajaran kooperatif snowball throwing dapat berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien sehingga hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial meningkat tinggi.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this action research are (1) To determine the increase in students' motivation to learn IPS after throwing the snowball method in class X Accounting SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja, (2) To determine the improvement of student learning outcomes IPS after throwing the snowball method in class X Accounting SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja. (3) To determine how the response class X Accounting SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja on the application of the method of snowball throwing. In this classroom action research is the subject of class X is Accounting SMK PGRI 1 Singaraja the number of 25 students. While the research object is the motivation and learning of Social Sciences (IPS). Data collection methods used in this classroom action research with the method of observation, test methods, questionnaires and interviews. From the results of action research conducted by 2 cycles and analyzes that have been conducted, obtained the following results (1) student motivation in the first cycle to get the average number between 1591 reached 63.44, an increase in the number of student motivation obtained at second cycle with the amount achieved in 1786 with 71.44 average. Increased motivation from the first cycle to the second cycle was 195 with an average increase of 7.8. (2) The results of student learning is 1782 with an average of 71.28% and mastery of learning outcomes achieved 48% in cycle I. An increase learning outcomes obtained in the second cycle which is the number of 2231 with an average of 89.24% and mastery of learning outcomes achieved 100%. (3) The results of a student's response to the application of cooperative learning model snowball throwing occurred in the first cycle, the student response to the application of cooperative learning model snowball throwing is 887 with an average achievement of 35.48. An increase in student responses to the application of cooperative learning model snowball throwing in the second cycle is 969 with an average achievement of 38.68. The amount of the increase that occurred from the first cycle to the second cycle is the attainment by 82 with an average of 3.28. Based on the results of the research, the answer to the hypothesis that the action was previously thought (1) snowball throwing cooperative learning model to be effective and efficient and the motivation to study the subject of Social Sciences rise high. (2) snowball throwing cooperative learning model to be effective and efficient, student learning outcomes in the Social Sciences subjects increased height.
