PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENTS (TGT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI AKTIF DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SEJARAH SISWA KELAS XI IPS 3 SMA NEGERI 1 SAWAN SEMESTER GENAP TAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui peningkatan partisipasi aktif siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pelajaran Sejarah, (2) mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT), (3) mengetahui respon siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pelajaran Sejarah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yaitu: (1) penentuan subjek penelitian, (2) membuat rencana tindakan, (3) melaksanakan tindakan, (4) melakukan observasi, (5) melakukan refleksi dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) persentase rata-rata partisipasi aktif siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan pada siklus I adalah 52,96% dengan kategori sedang, meningkat menjadi 77,3% pada siklus II dengan kategori tinggi; (2) rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan pada siklus I adalah 70,26 dengan kategori tinggi, meningkat menjadi 82,89 pada siklus II dengan kategori sangat tinggi; (3) respon siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) mencapai kategori positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan prestasi belajar Sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 serta memperoleh respon yang positif.

This research aims to (1) know the increase active participation of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 through the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) on History lesson, (2) know the increase learning achievement history of students in class class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 through the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournaments (TGT), (3) know response of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 towards the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) on History lesson. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). Phases performed within classroom action research (CAR), is: (1) determining the subject of research, (2) create a plan of action, (3) implement the action, (4) conducting observations, (5) conducting reflection and evaluation. The results of this research showed: (1) the average percentage of active participation of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the first cycle was 52.96% with moderate category, increased to 77.3% in the second cycle with high category; (2) the average of learning achievement of students in class class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the first cycle is 70.26 with the high category, increased to 82.89 in the second cycle with very high category; (3) the response of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan towards the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) reached the positive category. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) may increase the active participation and learning achievement History of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 and also obtain get positive respon.
